naturopath - MAKE ur PURE water: use tap water & heat it up to 100 degree cel. - 2 kill germs of the water you're gonna drink a day - let it cool down at room temperature, like the night before ur'ready to drink it; put no ice cubs in it, yet cool down from OUTSIDE of cup, we have glitter cups for kids in germany with liquid to freeze in icedrawer of fridge; put water in such a cooled vessel 4 a bit - thus making it sound. moreover, water that's been transported by e.g. car/ truck is very poor!!
Obviously its not the best way if it is contaminating water!I don't give a dam if they are poor, THEY ARE PEOPLE!!! YES they agreed to drilling, The least the evil gas companies could do is make sure they don't harm human lives. don't they have enough oil from the oil plundered from middle east and african countries????!@#$@
Radioactive Waste Surfaces at Texas Gas Sites (Dallas Morning News)
In Denton, Tarrant and Wise counties, all kinds of equipment – from pipes and separators to frac and brine-hauling tanks – were decontaminated of NORM – the most toxic waste the wells can generate.
Drilling is cool but messing with peoples life should be compensated for life there entire life plus there kids. It is a shame but please keep drilling and very very please take care of the people affected for there entire life the way they want to a point.
This is pretty decent coverage. Great to see some of my Dimock friends up there. You need to question this notion of natural gas being "cleaner," tho. It's not.
And the problem in Dimock isn't just methane. Victoria Switzer had some water testing done and the results were very disturbing.
Look for Laura Legere's coverage of the additional contaminants.
Also, natural gas is not cleaner. It's a myth. Look into it. Sure, burning it is cleaner, but so much methane escapes during production and transport that, in terms of greenhouse gas emissions, it's a wash.
It's more than just methane. They've found lots of nasty stuff in Dimock ground water. Including ethylene glycol (also known as antifreeze). It doesn't take a genius to see it's Cabot's fault, even tho Cabot is trying to blame an auto shop.
They can light their water on fire in Dimock too. Definitely. I've been there.
I live in Dimock and I think these people are exaggerating. They are probably mad that they settled for 25$ an acre when other people got thousands an acre. IF the gas companies are responsible for the polluted water at least they are replacing the people's water.
@TheThreebomb - -Gas rigs and other equipment catching fire, water wells exploding on homeowners's land, evacuations taking place in some areas, methane gas vents venting feet away from one's front door, dirty air and water, dead animals in streams, quarantined cattle in PA etc etc etc. AND ALL WATER FOR DRINKING, BATHING, COOKING, DISHWASHING, CLOTHESWASHING ETC IS CONTAMINATED ! ! !
By the way, gas is a fossil fuel like coal and oil - not renewable and NOT green.
We're all being attacked by their thirst for wealth! It's a human imperfection and until people can grasp that...as a whole...we will always live in corruption! Face it! It's the truth!!!
this was unexpected for citizens but the drillers knew that this was going to happen, they dont tell the people until it happens to force them to leave, notice theyre doing it in the wilderness forcing little towns like this to pack up and leave, this is going to happen to alot more small towns in america

That's just industry propaganda.
