Interesting points you have brought up - but the fact is our religion (unitarian in the UK) is supposed to be inclusive of beliefs and if you extended some of the principles -( which app. took a very long time to come up with anyway - thats why we dont have them in the UK. ) then you would be dictating to people what you think is morally right/wrong - it is not up to other to decide this for us. It is great to bring up the debate but you should never try to address UUs as a whole, in this way.
Thank you for your thoughts. Here are mine. Being inclusive is not the same as being open-ended. UUs allow for a personalized spiritual quest, but one securely tethered to morals or universal ethics. We, as a group, condemn nazism, sexism, racism, militarism...all manner of belief and action. Let us add speciesm to the list of abominations we should not countenance. If we do not dictate moral behavior, we are merely a library, a repository of information. We are no longer a church.
I agree that we are not open ended and also certain things are condemned, but issues such as vegetarianism, abortion, euthanasia.. are very debated topics and we should not dictate the stance of the whole movement. I also disagree with the dictation of moral behaviour we should guide not dictate,I don't think a religion should be defined by giving moral orders. I feel comfortable in my religion because I am not dictated to in regards of belief or behaviour.
It REALLY is to fast.

I am a UU, and it would be more effective if it was slowed down a bit to read all the text. Most text goes by way too swiftly.
Also, is there supposed to be audio? If so, it's not working for this clip.
Otherwise...nice job, though. Thanks.
