@TheEcoDisc Modernization of beautiful well working elevators is a shame, just like you. The beautiful old wood paneled elevator with DEVE-SCHINDLER fixtures got replaced with a hell of a metal box full of digital modern crap. Old elevators wokrs better than new, in all ways.
@Tefatt2 There are more accidents related to automatic doors. Automatic doors are more likely to break down and get you stuck aswell
There are NO good things about inner doors. They add weight, use more energy. cost more money. requires more maintenance, ruins the asthetics of the elevator., takes up space in the cap. adds to claustrophobia, causes more elevator breakdowns, and it makes the elevator MUCH slower. Got enough?
It also removes the fun of elevator filming/riding for me
@Tefatt2 yes that is because EU is ful of incompetent security freaks that sees nothing else in life than banning, restricting and creating stupid laws and rules all the time. They make themselves look like they are worth the giant bunch of money. It is one hell of bureaucratic crap.
