I've lost so many friends and family members in the past 2 years. I hope to reconnect with many of them as they wake up. I used to drive alot and listen to talk radio. Money Talk was a show I'd catch from time to time and the guy (bob brinker?) would always suggest Fanny and Freddy as great investments for one reason. They were insured by FDIC.

Let me preface this by saying I am completely against the healthcare bill and I believe forcing US citizens to purchase health insurance is unconstitutional. However, if US citizens without insurance are going to arrive at hospital emergency rooms across the country and expect medical care for free then what is the solution? Nothing and I mean nothing is free, why should other responsible citizens who purchase insurance have to subsidize the uninsured?
I think most people can't believe that an economic system can fail. If they do see someone on youtube that talks of such things and they tell their friends, they are told that those youtube people are nuts. Then when they watch the "experts" on the MS media they start to think that their friends might be right. Keep up the fight to wake people up Charlie and Happy New Year. i think that farming is the big story 2010...too many bad things happening in that industry....farmers cannot get loans for seed and fertilizer, 90% of the farming counties in suffered serious weather related disasters last year, drought in california, floods in the midwest...

Yes, I have a college degree, vocational skills ... well I can weld, I'm great at organizing information, not afraid of hard/dirty work and have strong writing skills, I'm not bilingual (I'm not all that great with learning foreign languages other than phrases), not married and don't have children...and I don't have any known family overseas (it would be going way way back to find any). I figure it would be a hard transition, but then again, no place is going to be untouched by all this.
Try Canada. Their economy is not great, but I think your chances are better there. They have a small population and vast resources. Thank your lucky stars you're single. Good luck...
I've been thinking Canada too. I have a French Canadian friend who says that I should make out pretty well in the Eastern/French speaking part of Canada (they are very protective about their rights, there is a lot of open lands and wilderness and the cost of living isn't too bad). Naturally I'd have to learn French though. lol

I agree with Joel1923 Canada is probably a best bet. According to Celente and Schiff the Canadian currency will suffer the least. I live in B.C and honestly the economy is quite strong.Housing prices have increased and nothing seems to have changed. Shopping malls are still packed with customers.Good education sytem and we do have great healthcare despite all the staff shortages.Really pretty here and the air is clean.
Yeah, I had a friend who lives over in B.C. and from what I've seen and heard of the place, it does have a very ideal climate for growing your own food (a nice growing season thanks to the warm Pacific waters) and there's no denying that the scenery is breathtaking. The only trouble for me is the logistics of moving my belongings all the way out that way (I'm in Ohio so it would be one heck of a long haul).

Actually local governments have been cutting jobs every month for the last year. I actually monitor this stuff every day. So there will be no sudden rush in cuts because its been steady for many months.
I stand by my prediction, net job gains by March or earlier.

I had a similar conversation about Obamacare with my family the week before Christmas. Each person claimed that Americans have a "right" to health care. When I started talking about the details of the plan I was told "I don't know what's in the plan and I don't care. I just know people have a right to health care"

How long do we have to wait before this world economy mess collapses? Let me preface this by saying I am completely against the healthcare bill and I believe forcing US citizens to purchase health insurance is unconstitutional. However, if US citizens without insurance are going to arrive at hospital emergency rooms across the country and expect medical care for free then what is the solution? Nothing and I mean nothing is free, why should other responsible citizens who purchase insurance have to subsidize the uninsured?

I think most people can't believe that an economic system can fail. If they do see someone on youtube that talks of such things and they tell their friends, they are told that those youtube people are nuts. Then when they watch the "experts" on the MS media they start to think that their friends might be right. Keep up the fight to wake people up Charlie and Happy New Year. Personally I think MOT is a good guy but he is going through some personal hardships and has made some decisions that are a bit damaging to the movement in general.

Yeah, tough to see some of the once leaders/pioneers of the YT truth movement fall to the wayside, but like you said...it can't stop us from trying to continue to spread the word. Personally, over the past several months, I've seen some fatigue in some folks here and there...but we have no choice but to carry on. What else can we do? Luckily my family is all on the same page. Unfortunately they're not in the same state. So I have to work on getting neighbors awakened to make sure to have a surrounding buffer of like-minded people. Have to admit, its getting easier and easier as time goes on and the general situation deteriorates despite the cheerleading by the media.

i think that farming is the big story 2010...too many bad things happening in that industry....farmers cannot get loans for seed and fertilizer, 90% of the farming counties in suffered serious weather related disasters last year, drought in california, floods in the midwest...

Do u have family overseas? It's not an easy jump. It's still not easy for me overseas. I'm single/no children. I don't think there are any easy options left for anyone.

Yes, I have a college degree, vocational skills ... well I can weld, I'm great at organizing information, not afraid of hard/dirty work and have strong writing skills, I'm not bilingual (I'm not all that great with learning foreign languages other than phrases), not married and don't have children...and I don't have any known family overseas (it would be going way way back to find any). I figure it would be a hard transition, but then again, no place is going to be untouched by all this.

I've been thinking Canada too. I have a French Canadian friend who says that I should make out pretty well in the Eastern/French speaking part of Canada (they are very protective about their rights, there is a lot of open lands and wilderness and the cost of living isn't too bad). Naturally I'd have to learn French though. lol

Well I can't help but think that some places must be somewhat better than others -and staying in the US seems almost comical. There really isn't much keeping me here; my family is dead and I don't have any other ties keeping me here other than the fact I'm living in the house I grew up in (sentimental reasons really).

I agree with Joel1923 Canada is probably a best bet. According to Celente and Schiff the Canadian currency will suffer the least. I live in B.C and honestly the economy is quite strong.Housing prices have increased and nothing seems to have changed. Shopping malls are still packed with customers.Good education sytem and we do have great healthcare despite all the staff shortages.Really pretty here and the air is clean.

Yeah, I had a friend who lives over in B.C. and from what I've seen and heard of the place, it does have a very ideal climate for growing your own food (a nice growing season thanks to the warm Pacific waters) and there's no denying that the scenery is breathtaking. The only trouble for me is the logistics of moving my belongings all the way out that way (I'm in Ohio so it would be one heck of a long haul).
You're very lucky to live in such a beautiful place. :)

i believe feb and march will be the months state and local governments cut workforces as their budgets have to be finalized by the middle of march...it is clear that sales tax revenue has declined substantially and people are not spending...

Actually local governments have been cutting jobs every month for the last year. I actually monitor this stuff every day. So there will be no sudden rush in cuts because its been steady for many months.
I stand by my prediction, net job gains by March or earlier.
