Capitalism is the only viable economic system. What "socialists/communists" fail to recognize is the role that culture, instability, and corruption play in the developing countries and how that accounts for much (not all) of their economic problems. Europe did leave a legacy of brutality (which have and are being used and abused by the governments of these countries) in many parts of the developing world but we should not confuse political systems with economic ones.

A lot of people didn't have enough food or suffered "accidents" in the communist countries, communism didn't solve the poverty problem.

Capitalism is the only viable economic system. What "socialists/communists" fail to recognize is the role that culture, instability, and corruption play in the developing countries and how that accounts for much (not all) of their economic problems. Europe did leave a legacy of brutality (which have and are being used and abused by the governments of these countries) in many parts of the developing world but we should not confuse political systems with economic ones.

This title sucks. It's corporatism NOT real capitalism in modern days. It's rather close to fasism economy (please read about it!!) which is unfair. If we look at Taiwan in 1950 and Taiwan nowadays it will show that anybody can become wealthy.
There's no unemployment in China at the moment. In fact they are looking for employees at the moment. Is this so wrong? Is living on welfare better? Please look at whole picture. Communistic Russia did not killed people??

The thing is that these protesters from rich countries are sponsored by someone to go to these summits. They are just toys...tools that someone uses. That 20% of the world's population consumes 85% of the world's goods because it also produces 85% of the world's goods.

@zaco21 my friend, check where your lap-top, TV, PC, etc. are produced - is it EU, or US??? It is created in the third word, from people who have salaries like 5$ for month...Have you ever been hungry for days or weeks? Do you know what the feeling is, when you can not take a shower for weeks?

@georgi131 My friend, some TVs are made in the EU or US. Do you know how that feels? To be hungry for weeks or to not take a shower for weeks? Besides, if they don't have that salary it would have been far worse. If you think a bit their problem isn't capitalism, but disorganization. Communism has put people in similar situations also even before the 1990s. A lot of people didn't have enough food or suffered "accidents" in the communist countries, communism didn't solve the poverty problem.

@zaco21 We both obviously are not hungry :), but I have survived for two weeks with 7$, and I know what the feeling is.About the communism - it is an idea, there is big difference between communism and socialism. Read a bit more about both, and the idea behind them. Personally, I am more anarchist than communist :).

@georgi131 The thing is that socialism neglects a few aspects in the price evaluation system. Communism is even worse. Besides, capitalism has refined itself but communism and socialism haven't despite being implemented for 50 years in various countries.

Capitalism is not a man to be refined, grief in these who commands us, will always be there - it will not disappear. So do not let yourself to be fulled - these "crisis" and "terrorism threats" are just the way to proclaim laws which are against people, wait and see...

@georgi131 Again document yourself and learn before you making statements tat you don't understand. I live in a former Communist country and I know how things were. The Soviet Union had an apparently economic system because it stole the resources of other countries. I know a few things about Socialism but the thing is it's useless if you don't use it to refine Capitalism. What you probably knew about the USSR isn't that exact.

I think you've got problem with describing who you really are. You can be anarchist and capitalist as well it's so called anarcho-capitalism. And communism is bad thing. Even if everybody is an angel, he will be hungry angel if you implement communism. Georgi - what do you think about high taxation? And what is an alternative to tax havens? Tax inferno, right?

Probably the problem in those country that are starving is that they have to many children. This is a fact. If they ad 3 children they would ave had more money for food. Let's not blame others for some people being irresponsible.

I find it funny that this video doesn't mention religious interests and the role they play in the poorest nations, last time I checked the catholic church was probably the richest entity on earth. If these protesters from rich countries living comfortable lives were serious they'd be armed with more than rocks, and do more than riot, but take targeted, organised action.

Yeah I agree in many aspects. Your ordinary riot is a waste of property, time and space.
But the problem today is that even peacefull demonstrations are attacked by police and thus "improvised" riots become more common.

Also, don't listen to lies about Indian tribes committing genocide and stealing other tribes lands! Indians lived in harmony with nature and other Indian tribes, they never exterminated several large animals, like one meter long armadillos that lived in North America before the Indians came there! They never committed mass human sacrifice!

We should give back their lands, since it belongs to them since their ancestors stepped on the land first!

To become wealthy take a very high degree of risk, be it money-wise or a huge sacrifice in a sort of way. Why would you want to live in a world were hard work is not rewarded. Not every rich person inherits their wealth most are 1st gen. Be the master of your own destiny and do something with your life instead of looking at others end result. Wealth and leadership is not for everybody.

The combined GDP of the worlds 48 poorest countries is less than the wealth of the worlds 3 richest people. That can only come to pass through tyranny. Capitalism is the legitimate racket of the ruling-class. The most important project mankind will ever take part in is the dismantling of this horrific system.

Typical. If I'm not willing to go along with your agenda, I must be selfish. Do you honestly think that communism raises your standard of living and helps feed the starving? How do you explain Cuba? Did Stalin show any empathy for the millions of people who were starving under his communist government? There are many more examples. I'm all for helping the poor and the hungry, but charity is not charity if it is forced and it's SELFISH to force your agenda upon others.
