It is about time for governments of both countries to call it a day to hatred. There are certain disciplines in which India can extend help to its neighbors. Water heads of some Pakistan rivers are in India. We have irrigation problem here, for instance, which is purely dependent on adequate water supply. Indus Basin Treaty is an old accord now. Govts of both countries should consider ways and means to fix this problem so Pakistan get a due share of water from its rivers.

At the time of partition, Kashmir king never joined India or Pak & it was Pak forces first which attacked Kashmir. It is about time for governments of both countries to call it a day to hatred. There are certain disciplines in which India can extend help to its neighbors. Water heads of some Pakistan rivers are in India. We have irrigation problem here, for instance, which is purely dependent on adequate water supply. Indus Basin Treaty is an old accord now. Govts of both countries should consider ways and means to fix this problem so Pakistan get a due share of water from its rivers.

I don't understand it.. India started the nuclear arms race back in '74. It was inevitable that Pakistan would follow suit as it felt vunerable.
Now that we have gone nuclear, India feels threated, despite having superiority in air, land and sea.
