So much truth in Kurt's statement. That's how good music is written. It's not overly cryptic that nobody can understand it, but it's not simple that it's stale. It has to be interesting and can reach out to everyone.

Simple lyrics telling their song in stories word for word with powerchords riffs feels like a cheap cop out, which is my problem with these new age boybands.

They hated the mainstream success of the song, people called Nirvana "The Voice of a Generation" but it was a lable that Kurt hated, I'd say part of his mainstream success may of assisted in his choice to suicide, he never wanted the band to get "that big" the best times they had were the Subpop days when they were playing in tiny clubs of 20-30 people.

In truth Kurt did want to make it big, hence why he abandoned Sub Pop for Geffen, but they didn't want to become thattt big. That's part of the reason Nirvana never sold out, and constantly boycotted MTV/ talked shit about the channel

the couldn't get a picture of "bleach"? lithium wasn't an album, and unplugged and wishkah were both posthumously released live albums. nirvana had 4 albums and that's counting "incesticide" which wasn't really an album, but just a collection of b-sides, covers, and old songs.
