  • How long do you have to be in the gas chamber.

  • they made us fucking war cry when i did it.

  • hm.............when you're a marine don't you also have to annually do this?

  • My brother is doing the gas chamber today. Pray for him and wish him well!

  • My boyfriend came out about almost 2 months ago.

His worst experience was the gas chamber.

In the letter he sent me, he described it in full detail...

Not going to explain it all, but he still says he can't get the images out of his head of recruits running out, getting tackled, and then thrown back in.

Good luck for everyone that does this, it's hell.

    Go Devil Dogs!

  • Going to P.I. On Monday. Nothin like a little motivation.

  • I'm heading to Parris Island this August. The gas they use, is that tear gas or is it something else?

  • @RenagadeSoldier22 Its CS gas which is a tear gas. Its feels like a mild sunburn on your exposed areas, you cannot breathe, its kind of like breathing in water and trying to cough it out but only making it worse, and your eyes burn like you havent blinked for a week

  • this sucked so hard, and of course i opened my eyes with the mask off..... bad idea

  • @ryansahs Yeah same here. I couldn't hold my breathe because some jack wagon wouldn't break his seal and they made us open our eyes to because of that

  • My friend just graduated from Perris. Go collin. HOOORAH!

  • I'm pretty sure there's not a thing that they screamed at you that wasn't for your own good in bootcamp. Them screaming "Don't touch your face again" is really them trying to save you the agony of you trying to rub your eyes and making it 10 times worse.

  • Been there, loads of fun.

  • @Terraformer404 4 minutes is the most if you fuck up they make you do it again

  • I almost thought this was my gas chamber video. But I didn't see as much snot as some of my platoon had! LOL What year was this? I was at P.I. in 1995

  • how long do you have your mask off for o-o im so afraid

  • Hey Price, when did you graduate boot camp?

  • was that the bath room or what

  • I shared a tent with Robert once. He is a Vegan and eats cabbage and pickle. This would be a similar experience I guess

  • Burns like hell but it'll clean out your nose though '_'

  • @abbiss89 So true. When I was stationed in Hawai,I had real bad allergies. It was so bad that I sometimes checked the training schedule to see what unit was going to the gas chamber and would sometimes tag along and go thru the chamber to clear my sinuses. It aint Benadryl, but it worked just the same.Might be why I won the Iron lungs contest in SULC school.Definitely would'nt do it over again at my current age.Good Memories.

  • @2deltaactual You actually got to know when you where supposed to be gassed?

In the Norwegian army we just get to know, the moment we stand in front of the chamber :P

Some people are actually immune to CS so they don't care about it. I would probably go through it again just for the lulz but i also would probably regret it like dog in the gas-moment :P

  • @abbiss89 I was in the army, we had to do this too, burns like hell

  • LOL-AWESOME...there was a guy in the plt. that went in after us, after they exited, he req'd permission to make a head call, went to the porta john, next thing we all heard was him screaming and DI's running to the porta john from EVERYWHERE...poor dude touched his ding-a-ling w/the CS still on him (CS reacts w/bodily fluids-tears, spit, sweat, urine, etc.).

  • that has to be sooo horrible going in after the 1st group. you walking in and seeing them chokeing and throwing up as the result LOL hooyah US Navy

  • the worst 5 mins of your life plt 3040 india company

  • ahh the old gas chamber good times

  • Which week of training does this take place? And if you spaz out in the middle of the test do you fail?

  • tht would be funny if there as an old nazi runnin the gas chamber

  • do they make u take urs mask off in side and how long are u in there

  • @JohnPinkney123 Yes, you take the mask off. You are in there appx 5 minutes. First you break the seal and reseal, then you pull it on top of your head and seal and clear it. finally you pull it off and hold it in front of you for thirty seconds then put it back on and reseal. :) OOHRAH!!! Plt. 3037 M. Co. '03

  • YAYYYY LETS GET SUFFOCATED IN CS GAS THEN JUMP INTO A PIT OF CARBON! hoorah marines! camp pendleton CA june 13th 2011

  • Any1 know how many times u do this in basic

  • Good GASMASK IN FRONT OF YOU RIGHT NOW! YOU GOT 30 SECONDS . (Still taking them off) good not done.............. GASS MASK OUT SIDE THE HATCH READY MOVE! LOL good times.

  • yea since my heavy hat liked me so much i went in three times in a row almost four lol

  • Every branch is the best, Marines,Cost Guard, Navy, AIr Force, you name it there are all great and represent America, no branch is better than another and dont you soldiers forget that!

  • gas smells like flowers :)

  • Can't fukin' wait.....

  • Army and Navy do gas training as well, not sure about Air Force. The best part is when someone refuses to pull off their mask, and the drill instructor makes everyone stand in the gas until they do.

  • @AHPMB Air force does aswell, but theyre in for a shorter period of time

  • Yes this was Parris Island! I was there at the same time with these guys. One of my Sergeants was in the beginning of this video

  • lol the gas chamber is not bad at all it only burns a little bit i actually wanted to go in again for a second round lol drill instructors thought i was crazy ... PVT Watkins 8972 Air crew

  • it wasn't that bad just laugh at the others freaking out.-PFC Ray 1371 combat engineer

  • TRASH me all day trash me all night Oohhhhhh Rahhhhhhhhh!!!

  • so pumped to be leaving NOV 15!!!!!!!!!

  • man i got one of those m40 gas masks i really cannot wait to go to parris island

  • went in 3 times with no effects-was finally told to fake it on the 5th time-

  • ship date: june 20th 2011 ohh fuckin rahh

  • @imiaowens my ship date is on july 11, 2011 HOORAh

  • ship july 25 2011 .,

  • @RicanWays just a little after me im july 11

  • @losyoniks Parris Island?

  • Yeah I'm on the same boat @FrankDeSonia11B except i'm artillery so that basic training was pretty crazy putting an FDC guy in home of the infantry

  • Time to enlighten many of you!!! Whos the baddest and best is to remain a debatable question. But as a Wole, It's undoubtadely a U.S. Marine!! Every Marine a basic rifleman, Boot camp was the toughest of all branches when I went in. We had to PT in the chamber, Sing the Marine Corps hym while exiting and held our arms up so as to let the slight breeze blow the crystals from the gas as free as possible from our bodys' (Decon in a sense) Some might compare Marine Basic training to Ranger.

  • Hey guys & gals, as your Veteran Rep, I appreciate ALL of you from ALL services but as a disabled Vn era trained Army Combat Corpsman/and OR Tech, U know who I favor. Thanks for your Service and be Safe. Contact your VSO when you ETS You earned your benefits so hv them help u get them . Peace Dana

  • good times. been gassed many times training people.

they are most likely holding their arms out so they aren't tempted to rub their eyes, probably the worst thing you can do in that situation.

  • Well to answer a question the gas chamber is tear gas and you do it to see if you can handle a gas enviornment

  • i respect all branches of the US armed forces but the marines are the best trained especially marine recon. better than green berets, seals, etc.

  • @SmokeyLah1 iam guessing u donr read history books the green berets and the seals are the firstin. the berets are sent in the get the locals behind us an to sabtoge any hey locations. the seals are sent in to hold, secure or destroy and high value targets. force recon is the spear head of the marine corp. landing. oh and they need a lift from the navey to get their

  • @SmokeyLah1 LMFAO... just no

  • @odamikun obvious squid...

  • Comment removed

  • wats the deal with them hol;din there arms out like that an wat does the chamber do to u

  • That's bullshit! At Fort Benning we had our rifles extended in one hand, our pro masks in the other and our ACH on If you left anything behind or dropped something you had to go in again! We had to sing the Army song with our masks offf when we were in hahhah good times! First to fight for the right and to build the nations might and the Army goes rolling along! Proud of all we have done, fighting til the battle's one, and the Army goes rolling along! etc...hahah

  • @FrankDeSonia11B you're a fag

  • Comment removed

  • @FrankDeSonia11B YOU DONT KNOW WHAT THE HELL ITS LIKE IN THERE IVE BEEN IN THERE! ASSHOLE!!!!

  • @Eddyisrich403 So have i man. And it was worse than this. Went in with Full Battle dress. Took our masks off and had to do flutter kicks while singing the Army Song. Oh joy.

  • Yeah lol the DI that was with my group walked back and forth with no mask not affected yelling at us. I was thinking "WHAT THE FUCK!?" the whole time.

  • That was my favorite part of Air Force basic haha

  • OH MAN THE GAS CHAMBER WAS AWESOME!!!!!! Killed me......but we had a drill instructor that was walking around with no mask on not effected at all!!!!

  • HOLY SHIT I CANNOT WAIT TO JOIN THE MARINES!!!

  • @Evanm118 You dont join the marines. You enlist. There's no gurantee you'll make it. Joining is for any other branch of military. The Marines aren't going to take just anybody.

  • @packerbacker94 i want this too much not to make it.

  • @packerbacker94 I have respect for the marines. I served 6 years in the military, but come on, keep that BS, brainwashed propaganda to yourself. The marine boot camp drop out rate is 11.7%. 85% of those are from pre-existing medical conditions. That is lower than every branch, but the air force.

  • the maks dont work so be prepaired

  • Damn... What does it feel like being in there?

  • at first it feels like u got no air to breathe, face skin starts to burn, eyes starts to burn, all ur snots starts coming out like its cool, all that shit stops happening when the marine gets the technique down how to use the gas mask.

  • that day was one of the best in boot camp other than liberty Sunday. being in the gas chamber sucks, but it's pretty awesome at the same time. Our platoon got in trouble and had to go in twice.

  • holy hell that is the plt i was in. plt 1030 sdi ssgt quispe

  • Stop fucking saying what branch is better! Jesus christ, you're all on the same side! If you're pinned down by enemy fire you don't give a fuck who comes and help you, is it a sailor, a soldier, a marine, a coastie or some flyboys, every branches had their strenghts and their weaknesses, don't forget, the USMC is able to have a full month of complete warfare on their own, it's the only branch that has planes, choppers, tanks and ships..

  • @laurensmalter No budy, USMC isn't the only branch that has plains, choppers, tanks and ships. You need to acknoweldge that the U.S Air Force is the main branch in the Military that operates Airplanes and choppers. Also, don't forget about the Navy that they're the one that deals with mainly the transportation of ships.

  • @Shadowfury U understood me wrong, i'm saying that the USMC is the only branch that has ALL of those things, the USAF doesn't have ships or tanks, just aircraft, the Navy has some choppers but again mainly ships, the army probably has both plus tanks, but the USMC is a small militairy on it's own, they have a little bit of all..

  • Ahh... the home of the four foot booger.

  • @MFSrascal I assume thats very self explantory

  • That gas chamber is still strong from the residue of the CS Gas in there even if they dont set any gas off, i was in the gas chamber last month

  • man i cant wait

  • ahhh good days, i just wish that was as bad as it gets. id take the gas chamber everyday for a year over O.C. spray!

  • It's been over 20 years and I still remember how to don and clear a gas mask. Some things you don't forget ever

  • training in a gas chamber test your will to continue and your mental and physical pain stamina

  • why do they train in a gas chamber?

  • its training for biological warfare....

  • @Quagmire88 its actually to build confidence in their gas mask.

  • Just saw this vid by chance. Why are they being asked to hold out their arms to the side?

  • @ornitholestes so they dont rub their eyes....if they rub their eyes they make it worse so its for their benefit they do that

  • @ornitholestes so they do not touch their eyes at all. it makes it hella worse.

  • they aren't being asked. they are being told, and you do that so you don't rub your eyes... rubbing makes it worse.

  • Guys really, who the fuck cares on whose the best? We gotta focus on one think Army and Marines fight for our Damn country. To keep us our freedom. And here you guys fighting over whose best? Man thats not right, you need to show respect because both Army and marines have lost lives trying to protect our Country. Man up!

  • My history teacher, USAF, did this. he said it was absolutely horrible. good to have a first hand resource as a teacher tho. talking bout WWI gas war. basically torture. burned alive he says

  • army is more based on a large scale fighting force, the marines are just based on the fighting part, not much on the larger number thing

  • Hey Hooverboy2747 Marines are way better than the stupid Army.. Marines Semper Fi OOORAAH

  • Ricky, Marines are badass, theyre considered the best of the best so i better not find your army ass on the business end of my M16

  • LOL thats why Army won a Sniper competition right. Hmmm Army Must really suck... Hoonestly Marines & Army are they same so salute and respect both!

  • @LCBecho99 and you better hope I cant find on your profile who you are and what your names is. Got some good friends that are corps and I promise that they wont laugh at youre threatening the life of a fellow soldier. The worlds a small place my friend.

  • @CrewChiefD ...i was in the army and all i can say is.....cant we all get along?? lol.....hey i have a great fucking idea......for those who watch deadliest warrior.....they should have the USMC go agianst the US ARMY....then we can find out who's the best without any real bloodshed....

  • @LCBecho99 ........... your a marine? i was in the army, and i like it how every one say's the usmc is number 1, but the best of the best is the army rangers, green berets, navy seals,,, and any other special forces/ or specialy trained soldiers....plus every branch plays an important role......so i say tht the army, navy , marines , and the airforce are the best......

  • @LCBecho99 stfu the marines are full of retards like yourself. considered best of the best by who? your recruiter who suckered you in? and with all the tough talk about the "business end" of your m16 you must be a pog becuase marine pogs talk the most shit.

infantrymen respect infantrymen no matter what branch.

  • @LCBecho99 Can't forget about the SEALs! (although i do hope to be a Marine 1 day)

  • @LCBecho99 We don't need another Pat Tillman incident. Why don't you point your M16 at the fake terrorists

  • @LCBecho99 'considered the best' at the end of the day we are all working for a common goal.....not to get killed, so b4 you start killing your brothers why dont you suck on your own barrel AIRBORNE

  • @LCBecho99 Hell Yeah!

  • @LCBecho99 i would go with the australian SAS are the best of the best

  • @LCBecho99 i would go with the australian SAS are the best of the best

  • @lukeCART1 Fuck yeah they are!

  • @LCBecho99 chill out bro hes serving our country too. but not as effectively xD oorah

  • how are people saying that Marines lack intelligence read up on what they have to remember before they even arrive at MCRD. And check out the list of things they have to demonstrate in order to graduate, 13 weeks for a reason (its the hardest training available not counting Special Forces of course) Marines are the best for a reason! Join any branch and you can leave to UPGRADE to the Marines within your 4 years, but when in the Marines you cannot downgrade you must finish your 4 years first

  • dude stop this nonsense about marines being th ebest, the best are the ppl in delta force, navy seals, green berets, when it comes down to it marines are a basic infantry force, their physical training requirements are a JOKE, how ca nu call that the best of the best

  • @tupacIzAlive33 i agree....i was in the army and the best are not the army or marines....its delta force.....greenberets, seals, and army rangers.....

  • i remeber my first time in the gas chamber omg felt like i was going to puke

  • @ps3man10001 No shit

  • btw its OS gas dip fucks

  • Replying to

82abnoff: Yes, The Marine DI literally will through you against the wall you cant run out LOL. Army..

  • @wastedyouth1109 Army DSs wont let you just run out either dumbass. They do it the same way you see here. He's talking about after its done, and he didn't mean literally "run" out. You retarded Marines are always good for a laugh.

  • Comment removed

  • @rickyrich301 good to be the first ones in and the last ones out. Army..Probably a reserved NG that thinks hes RAMBO.

  • @rickyrich301 lol whatever you say, now go back into your hole little troll xD

  • @rickyrich301 lol...hell yea...when i was in the army...we had this 200lb 6ft guy freak out and ran out side, and even pushe the ds out of his way.......5min later.....he is back in the chamber......

  • @wastedyouth1109

"throw" you against the wall, not "through". man it must take a certain lack of brain cells to be a marine.

  • @rickyrich301 You got me man, you got me..All branches hate on Marines because they know what it takes to be one and what it takes to be in the Army. LOL.

  • @wastedyouth1109

hating on the marines? you're the one on here talking bullshit about the army, and i corrected you. now go back to working on your pt score you super duper marine you.

  • @rickyrich301 loser much this one.

  • i leave tuesday for mcrd san diego...

  • who cares loser lol

  • @rickyrich301 shut up

  • nothing gets your sinuses running like good ol' OC.

  • Haha i know that was a really funny day everyone in my platoon looked like 2nd graders on the playground on a cold day! spit ,boogers coughing everything

  • LOL now i know how my brother scott felt.......

  • ha i cant fucking wait for boot camp

  • @hxcboy69

    me too

  • @hxcboy69 congrats on your decision, it will be a life changing experience for the better :).

    2010 Oct 10

    2108 ECHO

  • thank goodness this is the first video without a comment war. cant wait to get into the marines

  • As an Army Officer, I went through Basic. The NCOs had me take off my mask and suck. I ran out the door and yelled.

  • di's for marines dont let you run out. if you try they slam you into the wall

  • Ahhh. The good ol days.

  • I remember in 2003 when my brother was at Paris Island, he wrote home saying " This recruit's Platoons has made USMC history by being the first Platoon to go to the Gas Chamber in the 3rd week of Recruit training" if memory served I think it originally done in th 7th week of recruit training.

When I got the letter, I found it funny that he didn't say " I " made USMC, then I learned that you couldn't say anything posessive.."I..."ME"... ect" Then I understood.

  • I made a mistake, it was week 7 NOT week 3 that he went through the gas Chamber. Sorry for the mistake.

  • lol I remember that, god damn i was leaking from every cavity i had though we had to stay a bit longer and our comanders made a video of us flapping out hands like birds (we were told it takes the effect of the gas down).. not.

  • the gas chamber is nothing compared to the OC spray, the OC burns harder and last for much longer, i tried both of them in the navy.

  • fuckkk OC

  • I did the gas chamber in AF basic and oc spray for camp bucca, you are right, oc spray is horrible.

  • Happy Birthday Marines!!

    Oorah!

I'll be going through MCRD San Diego next yr around this time!..All i need is to finish high school and im off to boot camp...kinda nervous, even though its more than a yr away but just the thought of me going through the world toughest bootcamp is enough to make me start daydreamin and already feeling the spit on my face from all the screaming DI's. lol

well once again HAPPY BIRTHDAY MARINES!

  • you have to do this for law enforcement, including the FBI.

  • not the same though, when i was in masks didn't work.. the whole poinjt was to fuck you over

  • that sucks.

    Happy birthday to you,

    Happy birthday to you,

    Happy birthday dear Marine Corps,

    Happy birthday to you!

happy 234th birthday to the United States Marine Corps!

  • Oh yeah that sucks. Brings back memories. Definatley clears you out though. This is required before every deployment so get used to it.

  • shawsk yes it does it happen to me when i washing i rub my eye after i touch the clothes burned like shit

  • someone told me that your gear smells like the gas chamber, for a few weeks.. is that ture?

  • It gets washed immediatley. So no

  • First, you walk in with your hand on the shoulder of recruit in fron of you. There is some gas already airborne in the chamber, but you can hold your breath for one munute. Then they let you don and clear your gas mask and you are breathing. Some folks make mistakes and bug out now. They are dealt with. Then you have to run in place, mask on, while they REALLY gas up the chamber. Then you take off mask. You have to breath. Just be cool and know others are with you.

  • when i was in the gas chamber, we had to put our hands in our mask and break the seal so the gas got in our faces. i was holding my breath pretty hood until i got punched in the stomach by a DI.

  • is there any part of the army i can join just to do this kind of stuff?

  • I believe the MOS in the Marine Corps is NBC specialty.

I'm sure the army has something.

  • cant wait

  • what is this exactly someone send me a message

  • OMG i am NOT looking forward to this shit.

  • I remember that the drill instructors didn't were a mask. How many remember that?

  • ...this guy. We only had one that did it though.

  • The only good thing about the gas chamber is that if you had a cold, you didn t have it anymore once you came out lol
