I'm English and usually avoid Australian tv at all costs as it is utter bilge.(well the stuff we get over here is) However this has been great really enjoyed it - Amazing how much of our slang you have nicked ya tea leafs .I hear the yanks have bought the format to make their own version for starz so be interesting on a big budget.

@goodbadanduglypoker That'd be interesting; the Melbourne underworld story told with the care and skill of Sons of Anarchy or The Wire or similar would be superb... although presumably they'd use an American story instead.

and that is part of the problem: beautiful cinematography, attractive actors (unlike the ugly people who usually see on aussie drama) who can also act, great music... stylish and glamourous production. But it is making criminals (who in real life are ugly dumb looking vicious pigs) look glamourous and stylish.

@samadriel its the best crime drama since the wire. i think its a bit budget but oz isnt exactly know for having the best crimes dramas in the world so i think it was quite well done considering. plus its based on true events so its educational as well as entertaining. i dont think you cant really complain.

the most brilliant part of the first season was the scene where Jason Maron and Pasquale Barbaro where shot dead while they were sitting in their van with all their kids in the back. it was the most horrific thing i have ever seen on tv, the music, lead up and mood of this scene was just perfect. it was truley a master piece of television.
