They bash America behind it's back. The main reason is because America is a super power and canada feels inferior and expects America to give canada the most attention in the world. We have no responsibility to walk sidestep to the U.S. as far as policies although we frequently have similar philosphies as to human rights and support the U.S towards these goals. On other issues we shouldn't be expected to blindly follow without question at risk of being accused of anti-Americanism or bashing. In my experience U.S.arrogance expects every country to tow their line at all times.

@Drknoble If you click on "sports" and review all the videos on this riot you'll find hundreds of "Canada is shit" type comments by Americans, it goes both ways. This incident was created by roughly 100 shit disturbers and is used to bash an entire city/country. People looking for an excuse to hate then start misinformation: "4 Americans were killed" another, "13 Americans were killed," to incite other people. I choose not to be manipulated by people with agendas nor take them too seriously.

On Canadian sports videos you'll find little if any bashing from Americans because we don't think about you all that much especially not in negative terms. We're always nice to canadians but we don't receive the same. It seems like Canadian identity is centered around highlighting Americas problems to make themselves feel better while ignoring their own. This is why anytime Canadians face a US team all pent up hate spills out into rage ex. riots
