I am a violinist and have performed this beautiful work many times. Its like a Holy Hush comes over the people. My wife accompanies me on piano, but, we both love the sound of the classical guitar with the violin! That would have been my alternate choice had I not taken up the violin.

there are many videos with the voice notes in G, wich can be aswell used for the violin.

try Ave Maria Gounod in the search and then just seek one with the voices notes so you can play them in ur violin

this was not written by schubert . the gutar was written for piano by bach and the top line was written by gounod.

@xTheJeffShowx the prelude (the part being played by the guitar player) was originally written by bach (i believe for harpsichord? i could be wrong about the harpsichord part), and the melody (played by the violinist) was written by charles gounod. bach wrote the prelude first, and gounod wrote the melody over the prelude

I do not believe it is fake. It is perfect to me, though it is a different version of Ave maria I listen to.

Perhaps you all believe it seems like a machine made the sound because you just don't register the sorrow in the song.

I don't believe this song was written in sorrow, but maybe that's what the violinist was feeling?

Ave Maria is performed amazingly as always. But it is not wonderful. I feel there is no life to it. It sounds to me like machines playing it, of course no offense. Me, I just started to play it last week but the version my violin teacher played of it sounds much better, even though she made mistakes. Of course, I still think this is much better than my own playing....

Not a bad arrangement.But I believe the violinist needs a upgrade as far as his violin, it sounds too tinny there is only string tone and no wood tone. Maybe it was just the recording setup but I doubt it.

this is bach's prelude in C sharp major from the well tempered clavier, not ave maria
