I got into the military in 1998 and when 911 happened I had the same feelings at that time as Hon. Paul. I laughed when our leaders said "They hate us for our freedom". I'd seen the overall picture. That being said, I think the bottom line for me is that I see libertarianism as an ideal that is as unreachable as true communism or true socialism: all are too vulnerable to corruption to be viable. Humans are too greedy to be entirely unregulated.

@hammer3812 - that's easy... Paul wants to legalize pot, crack & heroin. He wants to lower our defenses. Take away Women's rights. Wants high inflation by getting rid of the Fed, he doesn't even understand the problem of climate change... I could go on, but Paul isn't very bright person, so why is he even running?

Obama had made us proud of what? Proud of starting more wars? Proud of higher unemployment? Proud of printing trillions of dollars to hand out to the banks and corporations, many of them overseas, proud of him breaking almost every campaign promise he made, proud of seeing the rich become richer and the poor become poorer while the middle-class is almost non-existent now? @hammer3812 - What? Obama isn't going start a war, he ends them as he has done with Iraq, and he's now finishing up in Afghan. Unemployment is the result of Bush, not Obama. At least Obama stabilized the situation. No, there is no plan to print money, so it's clear you don't understand economics, printing money could cause inflation, and we don't want that. So Ron Paul didn't understand the economy but exactly predicted economy situation today many years before. You probably don't even understand they are talking about two different economy systems. @admiralwei - paul can predict all he wants, and by random chance he'll be right 10% of the time... the problem with paul is he has no skill in solving problems :) he's mainly a mouthpiece for an idealized world, he fails to put "reality" into his equations.

Ron Paul, I love you and appreciate what you've done for this country, even if not enough others do to get you in the White House. FACT: If you do a Ron Paul search on twitter, you will notice every 15-30 seconds someone is tweeting about him, whereas every other candidates including Obama get tweeted about every 3-5 minutes...hmmmmm a movement? I think so.
