  • You know what's so awesome bout this? She's putting his clothes ON and it's 100x more passionate then 1,000 sex scenes from lesser films

  • The best love seen i have seen ever..!

  • This is probably one of the best love scenes I've ever seen, and it's just so understated compared to virtually everything else you get from Hollywood. Just one small kiss and hardly any physical contact, and they still managed to make this scene so incredibly tender and passionate. I guess less really is more.

(I feel like I've lost some masculinity by describing this :L oh well)

  • on my trip to Japan i stumbled upon a nice man owned a dojo whom still practiced the way of the samurai he gave me a real kitana and two kimonos one for me and the other for my girlfriend i must say kimonos on any women will look sexy!

  • I think the director had a mistake at kissing 2:10. Back then in Japanese culture, they didn't kiss. Kiss became common after WW2.

  • @Sitti2300

well that was officially so, but behind closed doors, everything can happen, remember that

  • @Sitti2300 But Algren is American, and Americans did kiss, and if you watch it, he initiates the kiss and she goes along with it. I thought it was perfect, she shows her love and respect through a means of her culture, and then he shoes his love and respect through a means of his culture. I thought it was great.

  • Matsuyama Kenichi and Tom Cruise are the two luckiest sons of bitches on this earth.

  • the last nigga on earth, starring tom hanks

  • scenes like this show us that there is absolutely no need for sex in movies.... this scene fully portrays the deep feelings of true love! a million times more beautiful than any lovemaking or sex scene hollywood has ever come up with. Goes to show that sex is sacred and not to be so callously branded about on tv and movies. How truly lost this generation has become! Taka embodies how the perfect women should be!

  • @shamvara Sometimes it is justified and works. Also, the word is "woman".

  • Masterpiece !!! She is gorgeous... If I would be Tom Cruise I would marry her... Very beautiful and polite ! Truely scene of heaven

  • @ManFanUtd ofcourse same here bro! i might fight woth you for her hahahah! but it is not the scene of heaven... it is nothing infront of that! there is much for us waiting! :)

  • And he didn't shoplift the pootie.

  • This scene is very beautiful! But the translation is wrong though... She actually says: This armor will look good on you, but please, let me check if the lower part will fit well.... And then she takes his Kimono off!!! Aruugurin San was about the same height of her husband, but the american sword was probably bigger....

  • I really really miss movies like this. It used to be that at the end of the movie the two characters who had fallen in love through the course of the movie would finally kiss. Now, it seems like they always end up having sex, as if a kiss isn't good enough or isn't enough proof or something. A scene like this has 10x more romance and passion than any sex scene in any movie.

  • She is absolutely beautiful. I would marry this woman and treat her like an angel.

  • I have no words either, wish I had been in the movie ( at least )

oh geez I just did thinks a thunk ~

  • who's the actress? she must be the true beautiful. calm and polite face. my god.

  • @CometShoot000 Japanese actress, Koyuki. :)

  • He looks like a Jedi Master.

  • @QueenBrendaSIV

hahahaha i can't stop laughing :D lol I never noticed that before and now i have to think about it everytime i'm watching this. after she dresses him she says: "may the force be with you"

  • I have watched this beautiful scene som many times that I acually spotted a moviemistake. It´s between 1:04 - 1:05. First he looks at the left, then at the right. Anyways, great scene and awesome movie!

  • Best love scene ever. I love how it didn't divert to sex like 99.9% of all the other hollywood movies

  • Koyuki is great actress... she played Vampire queen on the other movie and she was seriously scary.

She is great... elegance and beautiful.

  • 39 people got beheaded by Ujio.

  • a small measure of peace

  • She is a great great actress..:)

  • Omg, isn't she from the Japanese drama Kimi wa petto?

  • @MySweetRemedy1 Yes, I think so too :-)

  • @tallbeauty1982 LMAO, Ok I know, It is just that I wanted to piss somebody off by saying that. O knew that I was gonna get some reponse LOL!!!!!!

  • @egg899 at the end he came back from war to do so. You go have a masturbation idiot.

  • @hassanemailz1 Ok, I will tanx

  • I saw this movie yesterday for the first time and... This is one of the most beautiful love scenes I have ever seen.

  • Comment removed

  • I absolutely love this scene so much.

  • Just goes to show you don't need token sex scenes in a movie, just a great story and acting along with beautiful music......the way movies used to be made back in the golden age.

  • soooooo sweet & romanticc

  • There is a part in the movie where she is talking to her brother asking him to avenge the death of her husband and kill him and he says her husband tried to kill the American and he received what was coming to him and she said to her brother forgive me of my weakness. That was very thought provoking and speaks a lot about the Japanese people.

  • Greatest Movie Evere in my opinion, an amazing story that makes you cry doesnt matter your age if you understand it you will cry. Masterpiece soundtrack that cross inside your very heart and make you think of life's meaning. Set of actors that work excellent refering to the other not Tom although I believe this is the best work he ever make. Shows so much that I believe one movie is not enough for all the things this piece of art hold in almost two hours.

  • unfortuntly japan has lost his identity

  • Thank you,America. This movie is the present to Japan.

  • sencillamente maravilloso !!

  • Thanks, I've already found some information.

Shooting began in March. According to IMDB, the movie will hit theaters in 2012. There is also a rumor that Ken Watanabe is given a role.

Let's see, unfortunately, it takes a few months before the release.

  • She should have done a full on hair nude scene. Maybe one of these days.

  • Hollywood trash.

An American as The last Samurai or Tom Cruise?

    OMG!

From what Tom Cruise really dreams at night?

    I will rather not know!

  • @TheHiddenDepths I believe the last samurai was Katsumoto ... The movie was more about him than Cruise's character.

  • @19JBOGART70

    I do not think so.

For example: Ujio, Nobutada, and most fighters in the final battle were Samurai.

In addition, Tom Cruise said to the emperor that he would commit seppuku (suicide) if he so wishes. Like a Samurai.

  • This shows that love scene doesn't have to involve sex just to be beautiful or moving.

  • This part was sooo beautiful and sad

  • never had been putting ON clothes been so sexy.

  • getting dressed by a hot lady - Poker Face!

  • during that time werent the black men still like slaves? o.o just wanted to put that in there..if i am correct only tho..

  • @pielover1112

The movie is set in 1878, so technically slavery had been abolished in most Western countries.

  • @loner1878 1878??? really??? woooow....i thaught this was durin the recolutionary war sorta thing, dang that changes everything, thanks for the info tho

  • i wish i could get some pussy from her

  • @TheGuy123321 boys boys boys...always the same...let me guess.....your single?

  • the western fetish for asian women and their need to empower their own men should be more obvious.

  • @brainwasher9876 Fetishes? If you dont like asian women and your a guy something is wrong we are the same species. GUYS LIKE ALL KINDS OF WOMEN whether they are willing to admit it or not.

  • @lilsm555 you've completely misseed the point I've made.

  • @brainwasher9876 I heard it but its not because of that. This women cared for him while he was injured and fighting alcoholism even though he killed her husband she was always good to him. The point you came up with is a typical chick answer.

  • @lilsm555 you can always manipulate the plot so that a white man gets together with an asian chick as long as you've got the rights to the story. I bet you a million dollars that if any non-white had tried to audition for Cruise's part, they would have been turned down.

  • @brainwasher9876 Yeah but it makes sense for it to be a white guy you didnt see to many black or hispanic people visiting japan 200 years ago

  • @lilsm555 what you say may be true, but if they truly wanted to make it an austere and sincere movie there was no need for the woman to fall in love with the guy. Some relationships are the most meaningful when they're platonic, because then there'd be a motivation and goal other than, you know, sex.

  • i never thought i would love a movie that i saw in my World Civ class so much! Tom Cruise is SO HOT!!!! :D

  • the last samurai is one of my favorite movies <3

  • anyone know whats the music name?? thanks :))

  • @OMDSouvenir the name of the music is "A Way of Life" composed by Hans Zimmer

  • Comment removed

  • wonderful scene with great music

  • what type of girls do we have these days?

Party Party Party, disco disco part animal etc etc,

I wish i had the chance to meet with a girl this calm and beautiful T^T

  • @KilledInAsia same here :-) i think asians have their own beautiful culture.we must stop following west like dog following its master and i think JAPANESE GIRLS are the most beautiful in this world when they are wearing a kimono.

  • @KilledInAsia i'm here xD

  • @KilledInAsia I`m sorry but you aint a Samurai either^^

  • @junaidjaatt NOOO BUT I'MA NINJA!!! BUJINKAN MOCHERFUCHER!!! MASAAKI HATSUMI!!! AAARARARARARAGH BANZAI!!!

  • @KilledInAsia , amen. A calm, beautiful, loving girl with a peaceful spirit. Keep looking. They're out there.

  • @KilledInAsia

Guys are no different these day; try having a "conversation" on spirituality with them. You'll be called exhibitionist who prides his knowledge!!! They rather talk about the orifices they have penetrated. Girls have become meat holes. TBH when girls act as you described, they will be treated as such by guys too.

They always say, even generals are mouse at home.

  • @KilledInAsia Mhhh m8. She is just following what the script tells her to do :/.

  • @ledeej LOL....

    shes actually kind in person

  • @KilledInAsia you probably already did, but overlooked her...

  • Okay this is not much of a love scene. She barely kissed him.

  • @fightinside1 that's the point my good man, why? were you expecting a sex scene?

  • i'm japanese,

i love this movie and tom!

    tom very hot!!!

    トム・クルーズ凄く好き!!

    着物もよく似合ってる。

  • The beauty of the messages in those movies is in how these white heroes are changed. What they actually show is the journey of the white man/woman to regain lost values.

  • that bitch........ her hubby was killed by the hands of tom cruise still having sex with killer of her husband

  • @sushant52 hey,how could you call koyuki kato a bitch, and for your kind information, she never had sex with him.

  • haha what difference does nationality make?

Algera-san entered that house and showed complete respect for the family and the traditions of the entire village. When the 'enemy' was coming to destroy the Samurai, Algera had the characterics of a Samurai (honor, loyalty, valor) Some say he went to the other side. What other side? He always had those values and at the right opportunity exercised them on the battlefield.

  • Tom Cruise is a lucky man.

  • It brings back every inevitable loss I´ve ever faced... and gets me misty-eyed! Damn scene!

  • A sad thing it must be... to be a woman dressing up your man for battle and possible death... or to be a man and be dressed up for battle by your woman. What the hell do you think at a moment like that one? "With God as my witness, I swear to you I will be back to make love to you again"??? And then: "But what if I don´t? What if this is the last time I see you?"

  • tom cruise is good at love scenes, especially the Top Gun one. but his weirdness just puts a damper on everything.

  • Comment removed

  • That is one beautiful woman. What is she doing with that short little "You don't know ritalin" Tom Cruise is beyond me.

  • @stayjit1 It's called "acting".

  • What is the title of this song?

  • a white man is used to teach a white audience ;)

  • She is one of the most naturally beautiful women i have ever seen

  • @opium25 He should have just tagged that ass and bailed!

  • @opium25 i agree, i go crazy for that woman, so sweet...

i take always her image in my mind and in my heart...

  • I agree! I consider this one of the sexiest movie scenes ever. Up there with the scene from Ghost and maybe The Bodyguard.

  • is she crying for him?, for her killed husband? or what, i dont get it and why she kissed him she was forced? i mean for her culture i dunno someone tell me plz cus i dont get it right and i love this movie

  • @MrHolllaaa

they cant help loving each other, its just that simple.

  • @MrHolllaaa She is crying for both, she feels guilty but she can't help but feel for him. She took care of him, fed him and such which grew respect. Respect grew to like as he revealed his true side, and it grew to love as her children did. She still feels guilty but he has taken the husband's place in the family.

  • she is very beautiful for a chinese!

  • @ImBoyD20 She's Japanese, actually

  • @ImBoyD20 lol she's chinese silly....

  • @neoeros who is the silly here? im confused

  • @neoeros Uh no she's Japanese >> her name is Koyuki

  • Koyuki is so beautiful.

  • ah people stop hating on tom cruse, it was a good performance and a great film

  • i like how it was very modest because that's different from hot love scenes. it's just as potent for some reason i cant explain. maybe because in a culture that is very tight and stiff to most, any affection is very strong, even stronger than hot and steamy love scenes

  • @illouie: this is all you got from the movie? bah!

  • @MOTORMAK Actually I really like the movie, but not because of Tom Cruise's role. I like it because it shows you the lifestyle of Samurai people and some history of Japan.

  • A white man is always the savior of some society of people? Wtf? Avatar, Dances With Wolves, Atlantis: Lost Empire, Last Samurai, same shit everytime..

  • @illouie LOL true! Tom Cruise should have been replaced By WILLIAM HUNG lol

  • @illouie Well like most movies a lot of this is fiction, but that does not make this particular scene any less valuable. We are not quite discussing the movie and how well it sticks with history or political correctness, but I guess someone has to show up to troll around. In your own words "same shit every time"...

  • @illouie Yeah, maybe they should have used Samuel L. Jackson instead of Tom Cruise.

"I`ve had it with this god-damn ninjas in this god-damn village!!!!"

  • @Wildzide00 LOL..Now that is a much better idea :-D

  • @Wildzide00 LOL

  • @illouie Actually, Cruise's character is in the process of alchoholic self-destruction, out of guilt of atrocities committed against the Native Americans, when he is dispatched to the Japanese Empire on army contract to teach their army modern technological warfare. The movie goes out of its way to display the materialistic emptiness of the Western culture, and the superiority of the Samurai way of life the he encounters. It is Katsumoto, not Algren (Cruise), who is the titular Last Samurai.

  • For that matter, though, the poster image of Cruise is highly misleading for another reason: making the audience think of the word as implying the singular (just as the word "sheep" can), when it actually means the plural. These PEOPLE he meets are THE last Samurai, AS Samurai; as opposed to still following that way of life. Rather than coming as a "white savior," the Japanese save him from his own demons. So no...I do not agree that this is the "same shit."

  • @VampireYoshi Well said, friend. :)

  • @VampireYoshi

Excellent Statements Vampire. Greatly appreciated. I actually love this movie. Actually I love most epics but this is almost tops next to Gladiator for me

  • @illouie How exactly is he a savior? All he is IMO is an observer and, at the end, a teacher. He doesn't save the samurai culture at all, nor does he go on to lead it. If anything, the society saves HIM.

  • @illouie Wlcome to hollywood :)

  • @opium25 i hate hollywood

  • @illouie becaue it's hollywood. and it's a white man's game. unfair yesss

  • @illouie I agree with you. In almost every movie that has asians cast in it, they are martial artists/hot babes/hot martial artists. And when there's an asian actress in a movie, you can almost guarantee that a white guy's gonna pick her up. If it's a black guy, it's with a black girl, and never anyone else. Latinos are simply non-existent (unless they are women in which case the white guy thing again). Hollywood is really shit with demographics.

  • @illouie that's cause the movie is made by white men...in a white country... what do you want purple mexican saviors?

  • @arrowxhead3p I'm amazed by how many comments I've received from that one post, and yes I would love to see purple mexican saviours. That would be much more interesting...

  • @illouie That's right. And I'm a white man so just let me know when you need me to come save you.

  • @illouie yep i agree that's why it's time for asians, african, natives to make a real movies so there's no more imaginary white ass shit .

  • @illouie nooo if you watch some animes or read some manga you'll see that heroes are all japanese...mhhh. If the producer is white.. tthe hero is white, if a producer is black the hero is black, if he is asiatic he is asiatic...Will Smith...Tom Cruise...Sailor Moon...they've saved world a lot of times!!Mhhh but now I'm angry...why italians are all "Padrino" and "Mafia" and never the heroes?

  • @illouie They're hollywood films what do you expect?

  • @TheTomWIlliams Hmm..I don't know, maybe some realism? But then, of course, few people would watch it.

  • @illouie I actually see it the other way around...I see those societies as saving the person who experiences them. John Dunbar in Dances with Wolves doesn't really find himself until he experiences the Sioux culture...same can be said of Nathan Algren in The Last Samurai as well as Jake in Avatar.

  • lol so? In japanese produced movies the japanese dude is the hero and the white imperialist is usually the enemy. If you wan't a change from hollywood movies watch foreign film.

  • @illouie - except for the latest version of "I am legend"... The 2 previous ones, yes, both heroes were white...

  • If it wasn't for the White man enslaving much of the 3rd world, they would still be living in the Stone Age. I know my history quite well and can think of no great Military figures or explorers or rulers whom weren't white. Its a fact. I hope you manage to shake off that huge chip on your shoulder

  • @TheStonebro It's clear that you have no idea what you're talking about. Your comments may be true, provided every historical event is seen through the eyes of a "white person". There are tons of great leaders of the past who weren't white. America is world renown for shoving things under the rug.

  • @illouie lol that is hollywood for you! but.. it's still pretty enjoyable to watch ;)

  • @phantomwaltz I don't know about this particular scene, but yes it's a cool movie..

  • @illouie The film wasnt about a white man saving the day, but a white man who disagreed with his people because the forgotten word honor. This honor would eventually help cure his nightmares.

Secondly, this story is not fiction, it happened, but the soldier was French, not American

  • @aiknil What is your point? It's all the same my friend.

  • @illouie From my reply to u, it is not the same. This a true life story, so it is not as if Hollywood wrote a story about a white man who saves the day. The French soldier in question actually saved the day

  • @illouie Actually the movie is baseed on the history of the dealings with Japan by four different countries, and no there was no English, American, or French soldier who participated in the battle. That part was all made up.

  • @petis1976 Your comment just amplifies my original comment lol. Geez, what you said makes it even worse...

  • @aiknil

The story is partly fiction. In reality, this time the samurai rebelled against their loss of power. unlike in the film, there was actually a successful conclusion of negotiations with the United States.

    Read something about Meiji Restoration.

  • @TheHiddenDepths I dont know where u got ur facts from, but I have even read bits from the journal of the said French soldier...common wikipedia has the story

  • @aiknil You do not understand. The film is about the Satsuma-Rebellion.It may be that Nathan Algren was in reality a Frenchman.I do not know exactly and it was not the point. But, it is not true that everything in the film occurred in reality. The film was shown that the samurai rebels have refused to use firearms. In fact, they have used firearms during the Satsuma-Rebellion.Furthermore,it was out the rebellion, because the samurai feared their power and influence to lose. Honor was not the motive.

  • @TheHiddenDepths i do understand everything about the film and can almost quote word for word, I knew it was about a historic rebellion and the soldier involved was French. It will be dumb of me not to know that many other things in the film were added for artistic purposes. My point was that the story in itself happened, that doesnt mean I am saying the film depicts the whole story...the 47 Ronin is another samurai film coming soon, true life, but im sure they will sugarcoat it...keanu reeves

  • @aiknil

    Maybe I've misunderstood something.

Nevertheless, thanks for the note about the film of the 47 Ronin with Keanu.

This information was new to me. Hopefully it's not another American who was the only survived and finally gets the beautiful woman.

  • @TheHiddenDepths I think from IMDB Keanu Reeves has a japanese name. Also the storyline is highly cultural. The Japanese would be upset if this one was fiddled with

  • The guy who played Ujio in the last samurai (Hiroyuki Sanada) is a major cast in this film too

  • @illouie Nah, the white man in this movie is not a savior, more like a witness of an event. He just a being part of it and his presence do not change anything.major.

  • @aclock2 Well said.... If anything, being a witness to this event opened his eyes and heart and changed his life for the better.

  • @aclock2 Great great you made a great interpretation he did not die because it was not his time yet the leader of the samurai said it once that is time was far. He survive because of that and the samurai die but not in vain they were the true saviors who save their traditions with their final act.

  • @aclock2 watch?v=Wn1Ee4DnoU8&feature=related

  • @illouie savior?, did that american dude saved anithing?, japan saved him if you analize it well....

  • @illouie : Don't you forgett about Katsumoto in this movie please. Algren fings his peace and Katsumoto saves the samourais' soul.

  • That is the most beautiful scene in the movie. It's perfect. I agree with blueeyes700. They already know how much they love eachother. It's also sweet when Nathan hugs the oldest son. If u haven't watched the last samurai, watch it. It's one of the best movies ever. It's a very beautiful movie both. The acting the story the scenery, all very beautiful.

  • This scene was the greatest expression of love and forgiveness I had ever seen in a movie. She cared greatly for him and was proving so by dressing him in her dead husband's armour-whom he-Tom Cruise- killed! I was tryin not to get misty-eyed cuz my brothers were watchin it with me but it was hard!

  • MAGNIFICENT!!!

  • This is TRUE love... what I lost a decade ago...

Tom really showed me here that he is an actor thanks to works like these. ... No words for it... just one of my favourite movies.

    A piece of art.

  • A quiet love with no need for words.
