  • Qapla = Success!!

  • I love them. This is the only reason I need. I wish I knew them, it would expand my vocabulary and pronunciations so much. I wish they were real people.

  • Sounds like they're hocking a bunch of loogies.

  • Ok, with the way the grammar is in that language, that would make the game double more challenging, espcially if you did it with the pIqaD script instead of the Roman alphabet, lol

  • @jhaarbur It is in pIqaD :)

  • @minime1235able, Holy crap your right! I didn't see that 100% at the beginning...well, how about this idea then: if they had a game like in the pIqaD script, could imagine if they developed the Bajoran language more for some reason and used the ideographs? Now THAT would be a blast!!!!!

  • @jhaarbur Hahaha yes. Also, if you were to do simply roman, it would be so boring. you would almost never get tlh unless it was roman designed for klingon. it is also much more wtf if you do it in pIqaD :P

  • @minime1235able, Agreed. Ok now the fun one would be to take old Vulcan script and play scrabble and do music with it too somehow...boy the STU can really make scrabble 10X more fun if you get creative, now can't it? And as for Ferengi, good luck...I don't even know where to begin with that script lololol!!!!

  • boggle?

  • It's time I learn some Klingon...

  • Lojban > Klingon

    COME AT ME BRO!

  • @ UserIsAnFBIAgent

You watch way to much tv, u fat cunt!

  • is klingon an actual language?

  • @UltraGamemaster its a language from star trek but yes you can learn howto speak it

  • @UltraGamemaster yarp, although its a little flimsy as a human language cause its more based in klingon culture...

    i recommend elven.

  • @UltraGamemaster kinda its missing some grammar stuff but you could speak it, yes.

  • @UltraGamemaster Yes, Marc Okrand developed Klingon into a full language with a grammar, vocabulary, and syntax. He has written a number of books as learning aids, and is actually the ONLY movie language that can be spoken fluently. All other languages, such as elven, are incomplete and consist of only a few phrases of gibberish. The Lord of the Rings freaks will tell you otherwise of course.

  • @UltraGamemaster It should be noted that the characters on The Big Bang Theory here are doing one of the worst jobs of speaking Klingon I have ever seen in my life.

  • Q´apla!

  • This Cooper speaks the language without honor.

  • in german this is much better!

  • @TechnosTheBestMusic It always is.

  • Are they using the Klingon alphabet?

  • 240p...

  • no t klingon is jydish hahahahaha

  • I feel ashamed of the fact that Sheldon's pronunciation of Qapla' irritated me.

  • I love their faces at the end: nevermind Klingon Boggle, hot girls are on TV!

  • WTF QAPLAAA

  • kapuhla-aaaah? It's Qapla'!!!!!!!!

  • This "Qapla'" in the end don't sounded good... Take courage, don't be sissy, man! Speak like a real tlhIngan SuvwI'! o/

    LOL

  • Why is everyone making comments saying things like: It sounds like this language to me.... NO. It sounds like Klingon to me... Its obvious that it's Klingon. Sounds nothing like any natural language I've ever heard.

  • I want them as friends.

  • @madlibsluver I can be your friend, I'm a trekkie STAR WARS nerd, but mostly STAR WARS nerd.

  • @madlibsluver me too!!!!

  • It sounds Russian - Pah, Chort, Bukhwa A lol

  • Sounds a lot like Thai language to me.

  • I LOVE WHAT SHELDON SAID. I can't even spell it...

  • @spacecowboy500 it's not that you said it out loud that's sad - it's that you know about a fictional language and yet you can't spell dictionary

  • hahaha sheldon is hilarious

  • @Wolfandvampire1997 yes, it is ;)

  • Is it odd that I have that book?

  • @Wolfandvampire1997 not at all!! in fact i am jealous!! where did you get it?!!?

  • @mslizzybell19 a charity shop,, i'm sure it's available on the internet though :)

  • @Wolfandvampire1997 I think so but I'm okay with that

  • People get married in Klingon... >.>

    Awesome xD

  • When it first came out the Klingon Dictionnary was half as thick! Umm... Did I say that out loud?

  • howard looks soooo much like adam green sometimes

  • there is an actual klingon dictionary????!!!

    I want one!!!!

  • @karakuri002 there's a Klingon language institute and some linguistic classes in universities will study Klingon

  • @Miqc452 uhh.... in what country though? I'm not fom the states

  • @karakuri002 there are some in the states, for the other countries I don't know. I'm not sure if there's some here in canada. Look over the internet you should find something for where you live.

  • jim parsons is the best comic character in bbt

  • im watching that now

  • naDeV tlhlnganpu' tu'lu'

  • They should release a Klingon version of Rosetta Stone.

  • does he not know how to say kaplah? you must way it with vigor and conviction. KAPLAH! SUCCESS!!

  • @kght222 He was, in a sense. First, it is Qapla'; there is no K in klingon (Klingon in Klingon is tlhingan :) ). Second, he added the -'a' ending which basically means epic. Hence, Qapla''a'.

  • The sad thing is, I have that book right beside me.

  • I used to have that Dictionary...wish I knew where it was.

  • Lol at the end all the guys ignored the boggle and watched TV ('cept Sheldon, 'course)

  • I got told the other day, 'Alex, you remind me of Sheldon. Except not smart. Snap.'

    :/

  • I love what Sheldon says at 0.44 , he rolls his rrr's perfectly (and yet weirdly)

  • this is not klingon, THIS IS DUTCH

  • o-k!!!!!!!!!!

  • Kryplach :D

  • penny is hot but she IS a freeloader

  • 9 people lost playing Klingon Boggle :)

  • p'akh! p'akeuh! pukh'pa'ah! Chorrrr! Nekh'makh! Biii'luuur bek'uhh

  • @haventgotoverit That is NOT the Language of the Warriors!

  • @haventgotoverit Well said... I thought it was very poetic.

  • I don't think they're nerds at all. Their interests just aren't mainstream.

  • @MissTrixie1 Agreed; they enjoy far too much fun and companionship to be true nerds. It is unfortunate that the word "nerd" is used to describe those such as they, as it obscures the suffering of actual nerds; the people who become immersed in those interests not so much by choice but because they're trying to fill a void left by their lack of meaningful social lives.

I'm speaking, by the way, as a person who in High School would often play Dungeons & Dragons, but only ever by himself. Qapbe'.

  • @disneyfanatic1995

    Check online auctions or bookstore.

Hope this helps and you find one.

  • I bought a Klingon dictionary just so I can play.

  • @disneyfanatic1995

amazon? Or probably in your next comic book store, they can order it anyway.

  • I want them to make Na'vi boggle!!

  • @lost2darkness id play it

  • penny is HOT!

  • I play Borg Scrabble; Klingon Boggle can be a drag at times.

  • a friend and I painted dice and roughly made Na'vi boggle

  • @MaweyPamtseosiyu *high fives*

    Srane!

  • @lost2darkness heh! great to find another avatar fanatic!

  • "What do you mean,'Aww', like she didn't know we were nerds?"

  • After that scene, Howard, Raj and Leonard will watch the show and Sheldon will be alone.

  • This was very funny. I loved it sooooo much with what Sheldon was saying after Leonard said: "Judge's ruling?" That made me LMAO!!!!!!!!

  • A man of the world speaks Latin to God, Italian to his mistress, German to his horse, Klingon to the Klingons and Dutch to himself.

  • @IpsaPaphum

he doesn't speak latin to god for sure and even if he speaks to his mistress, it would be french.

  • @IpsaPaphum i dont get it sorry im not that smart

  • @IpsaPaphum

Spoken as a real Dutchman Lang leven Oranje

  • @IpsaPaphum I speak Norwegian to my immediate family, Swedish, Danish and German to my extended family, English on the internet, Latin and Greek when working with science, Japaneese when talking with anime nerds, Dutch or Russian when i want to sound like an incomprehensible foreigner, and sometime curse or say random quotes from various other languages when called for. I'm an aspiring polyglot and polymath ;)

PS. Why speak Latin to a fictional entity? :P

  • @gulllars why speak latin at all it's a dead language?

(and that's coming from a person who actually learns it)

  • @GothicButterfly05 latin is a great language for people with good linguistics skills. You can articulate things very precicely and unambigously, and you t get much less the empty filling words or redundancies than many other languges.

My PS was a slight intellectual taunt, referencing god as a fictional entity.

Speaking of latin, i like the pun Vidi, Vici, Veni.

  • @gulllars vidi, vici, veni? being "I saw, I conquered, I came"? I'm not an expert in things like this, but I think thats in the wrong onder :P

  • @Anathiron yes, it's the wrong order compared to what Cæsar said, and it changes the meaning of the sentence (to a double entendre). It's called a pun, or word-play.

  • @IpsaPaphum Aramaic to God. Where the hell you get Latin from??

  • @IpsaPaphum More like German to his car, Arabic to his horses an English to himself.

  • @IpsaPaphum I don't have a mistress and speak Japanese to my horses, the rest fits. Never met a Klingon though.

  • 0:44 LOL!!!

  • how do you play boggle?

  • @awesomebitoch you read the instructions

  • I have that Klingon dictionary. No lie. I can upload a picture of it if you want.

  • @captainbossi I own it also :)

  • Here's a question did they make it themselves or buy it? If they bought it where did they find it?

  • He mispronounced Qapla' at the end. I"m such a nerd. T_T

  • @NodDisciple1 I thought that was what he said but he pronounced it so strangely that I wasn't sure.

  • @deedubya286 Yeah, I'm fairly certain. Nerd alert: I've been talking to other Klingon "translators" to develop Klingon-y names for my characters on Star Trek Online. T_T X_x

  • @NodDisciple1 - "He mispronounced Qapla' at the end. I"m such a nerd. T_T"

Maybe Sheldon's just putting his native Texas accent in it. Qapl-a'aaaah, y'all.

  • I just realized that we used to have the same Klingon dictionary. o_0

  • They obviously don't know how to pronounce klingon. Funny though =)

  • this scene is the best scene forever capila

  • yer none of the words they said are knilgon words

  • @puq96 true, the words are not knilgon :P

  • the big bang theorie rules!!!!!

  • "What do you mean 'ohhh', like she didnt know we were nerds?"

    ROFL

  • Hehe, I'm totally doing this.

The only real problem I'd find would be the fact that capital letters mean a great deal in Klingon. Q is different than q. And then there's the fact that "tlh" is its own letter.

Guess that means you'd have to take the whole boggle piece apart and sharpie over the non-klingon letters.

  • Does that mean it has capital and lowercase letters? And apostrophe's?

  • alright, boggle warriors! kep-laa-aaaaa

  • :D Klingon Boggle! Yay! I've actually done that before... but then again I'm a nerd so that's what I do.

  • I WANT THAT GAME!!!!!!!!!

  • Make the words as you would say them fonetic.

    Nuqneh=nooknehh

    Or make your own "dices"

    Sorry for my bad english

  • ka-pa-la-ah ??? how did he turn a 2 syllable word into four? or does he just talk that wa-ay in the sho-ow?

  • and it's spelled q'apla.

  • er, actually it's Qapla'

  • Today is a good day to play Klingon Boggle.

  • I can't wait to get me that Klingon book!!

  • I can see how this show would be funny. But, I never laugh.

  • Maybe you are clinically depressed.

  • .. or maybe this show does to nerds what Michael Richards did to black people in his final stand up act.

But wait, no, see, if this was actually funny, it wouldn't matter if this whole show was Jim Crow or not (look it up on wikipedia). Sadly this is no funnier than Family Matters or Full House.

  • this is saying more about your sense of humor than of this show.

  • @zorgo12 Possibly. That, and my taste for character development. The nerdy characters on South Park, Family Guy and The IT Crowd might have been inane or odd but at least they weren't repulsively unlikable. And yes, those shows are actually funny. Also when you make fun of people, it's really important to actually BE funny, like South Park, Family Guy and The IT Crowd.

  • @UnanimousDelivers South Park is one of the shittiest shows on television. You aren't really helping your case here by arguing that it is anything other than drivel appealing to the lowest common denominator of the American public.

  • @HisDivineShadow245 OK so what in your opinion is a non-shitty show other than Big Bang Theory?

  • @UnanimousDelivers I like "Lie To Me". It's supposed to be coming back in the fall or something. I also like "Glee", but that's one of those you like it or you hate it shows.

  • Though this show is fiction, it often dipicts real life situations. As a child I cared what others thought, I and would do my best to conform, but it changed. When I became a teenager I started to express my views on everything and lived them I challenged peopls religious views, and politcal stances. Females that thought they were Beyonces' felt ashamed because I let them know that a true women is an intellect before a hodgepodge of promiscuity and western standards of beauty.

  • AGREED!

  • this is AWESOME!!!

  • Well, about the berd and geek issue: I think that Sheldon is really the best because he is true. He don't care about what others say. Everyone should be like that. When I was younger I cared but now whatever.....Well, I am German (btw German girls are the best) and it was a kind of hard to tell others about my "Rajesch". People prejudge him becoz of being an Indian physic nerd. . Maybe he is but u know, i like him for being hisself and that it is.

  • I hang around with phycisists all the time. I am even in love with my personal Rajesh. They have more in common than being Indians :)

    .

  • BILURRR BE EEEEEEEEEE

  • ^_^ awesomely funny.

  • OMG I HAVE THAT DICTIONARY!!!!!!!..........also I have played Klingon boggle before....apparently Su'Hat is not a real Klingon word

  • Trekie

  • lol true

  • Ha! I am so not a nerd who plays Klingon boggle!!!

    *shamed* I play Vulcan boggle...

  • @Treemeadow How could you? The vulcan dictionary isn't out. All there is a Vulcan language guide...online.

  • @LeighAurora

    *facepalm* ...Comedic pause and line.

  • @Treemeadow Romulan is harder

  • XD !!!

  • @Rokzug if world was in the hands of geeks we won't have ignorance

  • Funny how people didn't like what I said.. :p That's sad.

    You mean.. Wouldn't have? :p

Sure.. I can see that.. World runned by geeks who spent the vast majority of their time learning to pronounce "Garph". That's healthy that is... How about learning a real actual language instead? Binary for example. :p

  • hahahaha, i learned it in a second.

  • nah nerds and geeks are way cooler than being a normal person. cause we can be who we want to be as nerds and geeks.

and besides german is a better language then french. and german girls are fine!

  • German girls are fine? :p I live next to germany, and trust me.. No. xD

But beside the point; you can be whoever you want to be without having to be a nerd; The Big Bang Theory is an excellent example of this. The only character truly being himself is Sheldon.. All the other guys dream they were someone else or tries their best to act like it. :p

They're not happy with who they are.

Which is why Sheldon is awesome, he's the only person true to himself in the show.

  • all the german girls i've met were fine.

but yes back to the point. true but i like most nerds (that i know) are happy with who they are (most of the time) but i personaly would not want to speak klingon but would rather speak sindarin or make my own language (i'm in the process of wrighting a book...a hard thing to do. lets just say sweating blood would be more plesant but i have too many ideas in my head that my brian hurts.) and that should also explain why i am a bit of a spaz.

  • Good luck wrighting that plesant book.

  • yeah. after getting a general story line down i should be able too flesh out details. but right now...lava lamp.

  • @drstrangeman I find the best thing to do is to write all your ideas on a piece of paper and see if any of them are plausible, or if they would even work with the characters/plot you have set. But then again... I'm no professional writer. :P

  • @Dakarn thanks.

  • @drstrangeman That didn't even make sense.

  • @drstrangeman

i agree being a geek is great. no one judges you.

  • @Seansheep800 thanks.

  • @Seansheep800 so-called popular people do. Those people who are very very popular (amongs
