I got advice for you, if you still can, change your MOS NOW!!! 13P is a shitty job, you sit in your box of a M1068 FDC track and monitor the radio all day and night in the field, when you are not doing that you are putting up or tearing down BIG camo nets, which is a royal pain in the ass, when not doing that you are on bullshit guard duty, and back in the motorpool you'll be pushing a broom, doing maintenance, or laying out your equipment for the 100th time, I'm warning ya, change your MOS!

Well I hate to tell you that's just the Army, I'm not a 13 series and the bullshit still doesn't stop. I'm a 25B and with the BCT bullshit, my Army experience has been fucked up, I don't have admin rights to servers or computers. The Army trained me to do all that good stuff, and Congress gave my job to contractors. You're best bet is to get an education and get a real job.

13 P is fire dircection... you sit in an entirely different vehicle. If you want to shoot you need to be a 13M

it fires 12 rockets, not missles. Rockets are balistic, like a bullet, once fired you can't control it's flight path. The rockets don't go 180 miles, they go about 45 kilometers. There is no guidence system on the rockets. MLRS can also fire ATACMS - Army Tactical Missle System. It can fire two of these, unclassified out to 150 kilometers, and these missles are guided. Who ever put the words to this video needs to crack open their FMs/TMs. Good footage. Did this in Desert Storm.

MRLS is my favrote rocket system why dont they fire the rockets faster like every second they launch a rocket for maxium damage and it wont give the enemy time to recover and youll only need one MRLS launcher rather than lots because if you have lots you represent a big easy target bacause all the enemy has to do is find you then drop bombs or launch missiles say SCUDs.

In my 12 Months of being in German Bundeswehr i hat that privileg to fire up more than 6 of the Big Rockets. And the 110mm "Spargel" Rockets more than 30 of them. That was fun but not the cleaning of the equipment. We needet more than 2 Days to clean up the MLRS Tank. But it was Fun in the manoeuver.

These are used for long range fire....out of range of most counter-battery fire. Being smokey wouldn't be such a bad thing, because these things shoot a very long way. Very effective system...the Iraqis called it "Steel Rain".

It adjusts its aim automatically only if it has a different point to shoot at. If it is to shoot at the same point, it stays on target. Tolerance area is +- 3 feet from target.

That's not White Sands, NM.  They're shooting M28A1 Reduced Ranged Practice Rockets (RRPRs pronounced "rippers). Basically a telephone pole with fins.

noosrvla you fuckhead the MLRS system can fire Rockets and Missiles. The missiles are called ATACMS Army Tactical Missile. It fires 12 regular surface to surface rockets in two pods or 2 atacms one in each pod. Was in B-3/27th MLRS Fort Bragg from 96 to 98! Woo hoo!!! Now they have HIMARS look that up noob!

But I think it cannot bring too heavy warhead 300 miles away(too long distance) like Smerch do on 100km.

And it's interesting about accuracy of rockets. And how good it fights on mountain territory with it's angle of rocket flying.

Seems that it is too slow to leave a battle-field as it have a track-base.
