The Uniden chassis that used the 858 PLL chip were made between 1976-1979 and then the 8719 came,,,This Radio is just like the early two button President Washington..or early Madison,Grant,Adams.etc..also the Trc 449(mobile) Trc 458,, Cobra,,138xlr,139xlr,,Robyn 520d,......Teaberry ....202...etc..etc...there isnt any Radio built since that has a better recieve and just a few that have a louder transmit...on a scale of 1-10...this design is a 15....It also is very tech friendly.. this is a winner
