oh yes i'm very satisfied with this player. upscaling or watching a DVD is ok but you'll never be happier than blu-ray movies. i stopped buying dvds 'coz of big,big difference. it's like you have your eyeglasses on when watching blu-rays. the only problem i had with this player is sometimes but not always, it hangs and needs to restart. but this doesn't occur during or in the middle of the movie. so i'm quite happy with my BDP-S300. i'm giving it 8 out of 10 scale ;)

Also what you could do instead of the amber lights is just get one and have it right in the middle behind the plasma so you have just alittle Glow . I think this would look good , thats what im thinking about doing :)
The Tv is very good but if you can get the Pioneer 5090 for £2400 , About 5 x better than this Tv on Review here . :) I know because iv owed them both .
Great Video mate but i think you should take away the 6 lights you have around the Plasma as it dont look right , Also it would drive me buts if i had these on my Plasma, Better if its all Black around the TV . Your get a better picture.
yes 5080XA is good enough though it doesn't have any other features of the XD models or the model you mentioned. sorry for the delayed reply, i guess you already bought the 5090 model :-)
as of now i still don't have any of the DVDs for calibrating Plasmas screen color so im still using the default setting for the color.
and i'm happy for you 'coz you got your plasma tv back. and hope u'll enjoy ur tv as much i am. 'coz these pioneer plasma tvs are great when it comes to movie-watching and other applications. they're the best i think.
hey nice tv i had teh 4280 i took it back to get a ps3 and a lower plasma an lg 42 the 2008 models it sucked i took the tv/ ps3 back and it wasnt there i shouldve kept it what reso are you playing your movies in 720p or 1080i i'am thinking 1080 since its no lag in plasma especially pioneer
actually i managed to produce a 1080p resolution on my plasma display despite my 10 meter HDMI cable. it was recomended to me by my brother thru by reading magazines and test and stuff like that. one day i went out to buy my blu-ray player and spotted this cable(JenVing SUPRA HF100 HDMI 10meters)...i just grabbed it without asking any question to the salesman if this cable's good enough.

For example my speaker system, they'r the cheapest you can get from pioneer. But they gave enough Bass and clear sound special at the midrange. Infact, the experience this set-up gave me...Unbelievable!!! High Definition

Nice setup but what's with the cheezy bar lights on the back, Ikea has a decent led lights that use lots of led's for fuller lighting.

I don't think that is true. Plasma has a very clear genuine picture. LCD has a very bright pumped up picture.

by the way i got my pioneer back the 4280 i also get 1080p signal but i heard it downscales to the 720 because it doesn't have those many pixels.
