gt5 is awesome, i like forza just the same, but thing is the new forza that either came out or is coming out (idr which) you can actually drive with kinect. its awesome, you can start the engine, actually lookaround the car, look inside the car, it's pretty epic

@BrEnNo1023 yea i ended up buying the game, was lots of fun i thought. but im not going to lie the races that were over 10 or so laps get boring fast. but after about a month of playing the game i went stright to B-spec mode, pritty much unlocked most my stuff not even playing the game. just kinda start a 24 hour B-spec race and turn the TV off and then come back the nxt day and collect my money. lol its almost like im cheating. this game cant get any easyer lmao.

@ThePencil901 But for actual driving you'll need the controller because head tracking is not enough. That kills the purpose of Kinect which was being as realistic as possible.

The first thing I did was turn off the racing line. I think you do that from your race settings menu where you choose which assissts will be on or off. The music I believe I turned off from the options menu, where you choose controllers and wheels and 3D TV's all that stuff. Choose Audio and there should be settings for all the different bacground music volume levels for both menus and racing

You must have a pre-jasper era 360? I went through 6 360's since launch, but my Japser Resident Evil 360 console has never even had a hiccup. I don't like call of duty anymore it's way to geared for casula gamers now. I prefer a more hardcore shooter like Crysis Wars or Halo Reach. Lats good CoD MP was 4. 4&2 were great call of duties the rest only had good single player, but the MP is so watered down for newbs. Don't even need to aim anymore it just locks on, haha

I'm not going to waste any more time on this comment. Weather effects in a racing SIMULATION = BAAAAAAAAAAD idea. It almost seems like their perfect excuse for a minimal damage model. Looked at a banged up Forza 3 car lately? I have. I've spent HOURS mucking around with the physics engine. That AND 5 years between official NA releases, and Polyphony should be out of business. I can't say it's drivel, but for FIVE YEARS? This is BAD. Forza 3 took what, two years? Polyphony. GET REAL.
@BrianH1988 the damage in Gran Turismo 5 is only minimal at a low level, once you have leveled up the game gets harder as you start too see more weather effects and start to get more damage to your viecle. damage in GT5 is better than damage in forza 3. polyphony digital limited damage because they didn't want players to destroy the beauty of the cars and damage them too much. thus being too worried about destroying the viechle instead of enjoying the realistic physics and beautiful cars...
@minimonster007 Also, don't forget that Car Manufacters were also responsible for previous installments not having damage. They are still hard to convince, so I wouldn't consider standard cars having almost no damage a thing of a half-assed game in this case.

Well...not to be a fanboy or anything but in game weather effects were introduced on project gotham racing 4 for the 360, so this really is nothing new or revolutionary. Still, fantastic trailer and this is an unbelievable game so yeah. I liked and faved:)
@speeddemon223 No one said GT5 innovated with weather effects. And that isn't fanboyism at all, PGR is probably an unique title with no equals, plus, I've seen many GT fans liking PGR as well. And I really like the saga too, also it's oldest ancestor, MSR on the Dreamcast, was an excellent title.

gran turismo 5 is both the funniest but at the same time the most difficult game have EVER played.mean i've been stucked in the ic licence-diploma and in the "clubman" competition.every time i upgrade my car and win a race in the next race i finish last-the other cars are by far just faster and wth a better handling than mine...!!!! help!!!! can anyone give an advice. please note that i am an experienced racing games player but this is my first gran turismo game... thanx

@bigd021191 Yes. Sometimes this game feels bit unfinished, because of standard cars dont have cockpitview and damagemodelling, and prerium cars does. But still in my opinion this game is a masterpiece.

@BrEnNo1023 yea i ended up buying the game, was lots of fun i thought. but im not going to lie the races that were over 10 or so laps get boring fast. but after about a month of playing the game i went stright to B-spec mode, pritty much unlocked most my stuff not even playing the game. just kinda start a 24 hour B-spec race and turn the TV off and then come back the nxt day and collect my money. lol its almost like im cheating. this game cant get any easyer lmao.

I also own GT5. It's awesome but also a disaster. I also have Forza 2. Personally, I prefer Forza 4 over GT5 but I like the physics of GT5 more.
Basically, I love both games. I'm not a PS3/360 fanboy. I own both of them.

Plus for all of your whether racing and night racing..you would understand that a completly different physics engine would be needed right? There is only so much u can do with 2 9GB discs and an outdated 360....(still love the 360 though)

@ThePencil901 But for actual driving you'll need the controller because head tracking is not enough. That kills the purpose of Kinect which was being as realistic as possible.

The first thing I did was turn off the racing line. I think you do that from your race settings menu where you choose which assissts will be on or off. The music I believe I turned off from the options menu, where you choose controllers and wheels and 3D TV's all that stuff. Choose Audio and there should be settings for all the different bacground music volume levels for both menus and racing

You must have a pre-jasper era 360? I went through 6 360's since launch, but my Japser Resident Evil 360 console has never even had a hiccup. I don't like call of duty anymore it's way to geared for casula gamers now. I prefer a more hardcore shooter like Crysis Wars or Halo Reach. Lats good CoD MP was 4. 4&2 were great call of duties the rest only had good single player, but the MP is so watered down for newbs. Don't even need to aim anymore it just locks on, haha

I'm not going to waste any more time on this comment. Weather effects in a racing SIMULATION = BAAAAAAAAAAD idea. It almost seems like their perfect excuse for a minimal damage model. Looked at a banged up Forza 3 car lately? I have. I've spent HOURS mucking around with the physics engine. That AND 5 years between official NA releases, and Polyphony should be out of business. I can't say it's drivel, but for FIVE YEARS? This is BAD. Forza 3 took what, two years? Polyphony. GET REAL.

@BrianH1988 the damage in Gran Turismo 5 is only minimal at a low level, once you have leveled up the game gets harder as you start too see more weather effects and start to get more damage to your viecle. damage in GT5 is better than damage in forza 3. polyphony digital limited damage because they didn't want players to destroy the beauty of the cars and damage them too much. thus being too worried about destroying the viechle instead of enjoying the realistic physics and beautiful cars...

@minimonster007 Also, don't forget that Car Manufacters were also responsible for previous installments not having damage. They are still hard to convince, so I wouldn't consider standard cars having almost no damage a thing of a half-assed game in this case.

Well...not to be a fanboy or anything but in game weather effects were introduced on project gotham racing 4 for the 360, so this really is nothing new or revolutionary. Still, fantastic trailer and this is an unbelievable game so yeah. I liked and faved:)

@speeddemon223 No one said GT5 innovated with weather effects. And that isn't fanboyism at all, PGR is probably an unique title with no equals, plus, I've seen many GT fans liking PGR as well. And I really like the saga too, also it's oldest ancestor, MSR on the Dreamcast, was an excellent title.
