Hey would this work for someone trying to gain weight (ectomorph) i would take it whilst using another mass gain supplement and my plan is to take it before bed everynight to minimise weight loss during sleep. any help is appreciated thanks
@SunElectra2010 I'm assuming that you're attempting to gain muscular mass and not necessarily weight. You need to be careful when taking mass gain supplements as they're usually just a lot of sugar - and expensive. If you're already lean, I'd recommend increasing your food intake and closely measuring it, as tedious as it might be. For nighttime nutrtiion, I'd recommend a casein protein. And it you want, mix it with a low glycemic carb like oatmeal. That will digest muuuch slower than syntha-6.
bullshit protein by a company named Bullshit nutrition (aka BSN nutrition), less than 50% protein by weight, and one scoop gives you one day amount of cholesterol which is ridiculous, only bullshit nutrition could have came up with product like this!
Thanks guys great review ! Poor protein level put me off BSN what do you guys recommend instead for a whey protein instead within a reasonable budget?
@TheGreenMist5 Optimum Nutrition and Scivation are good whey concentrates. There are a lot of good protein powders on the market - we just haven't had a chance to cover them all
good review, I just ordered a tub of this today. I have a question about another problem though if you know about it. I've been using Nu-Tek Pro 5 protein. I can't find much info on it. Have you guys tried it? It seems really good from the nutrition label, but I'm no expert.
@jr92503 We haven't tried it yet. We'll add it to our growing list. From the label is looks pretty good, however, I'm curious as to the ingredients in it
I got a questio im doing BJJ and Im starting to go to the gym (to build some straingth) aswell wich means im training 6 a weak and i will start creatine and BSN Syntha-6 and my question is how much and when should i take from each and should i mix them ???? would be awsome if u guys could help me
@crapwithoutrap It's perfectly fine to mix creatine with protein powder. I recommend Creatine Monohydrate since that's the only type that's actually been studied (and it's the cheapest). You should supplement with the protein after you analyze your nutrition and where your macronutrient levels are but definitely consume protein after working out. You can dose the creatine about 5g twice a day, one of which you can take with the post workout protein shake. Just consult a doctor beforehand.
I got a ? Um I want tha best protien shake out there and 1 that help me lose weight and gain muscle I don't want to go out there and make a mistake on a protien shake that dident work!!! So can u help with that
@prettyboyy56 Protein shakes will do their job - it's up to you do to the work. You can't gain muscle without working out and you can't lose weight without eating less and cleaner. There's no way around that - it takes hard work and dedication. With regards to proteins, Optimum Nutrition, SciVation, IsoFlex, and Gasparri Nutrition make good products.
@MacPr0xnxx0 If you want to lose body fat, you're going to have to eat clean. To gain muscle, you'll have to strength train. As far as a good whey protein powder, check out our other reviews. Isoflex and Optimum nutrition make good products among others.
@MacPr0xnxx0 High protein, low carbs, and strength train with heavy weight at least 3 times per week. As far as what you eat, try to eat clean (e.g. grilled chicken, fish, beef, lots of vegetables - no french fries, etc). How much you have to eat depends on your physiology and workout plan.
@flexxman1964 Although Syntha-6 wouldn't be my first recommendation in a protein powder, I do have to defend it in that it tastes really damn good. If taste is all you care about and don't mind dropping the coin for it, then by all means...
@alexanderkenniethbam Syntha-6 is essentially an all-around type of protein. Just remember to intake the appropriate servings to meet the protein requirement that you've set. For example, a lot of people like to get some 30-40 grams of protein right after a workout. With Syntha-6, that means you'd have to take anywhere from 1.5 to 2 scoops to achieve that protein level intake. Also, be aware that Monster Mass is a weight gainer. 650 calories per serving, of which most is sugar, so be careful.
@EatSleepLiftLive so how can i combine syntha 6,and monster mass cause i have them both and i dont know how to take them together,i've been taking syntha 6 for a week and i haven't really felt any muscle gains
@alexanderkenniethbam Unfortunately, you're not going to "feel" muscle gains from taking protein powder, especially within a weeks time. Protein simply facilitates your muscle growth - which is actually not an easy thing to do. Some studies have shown that if you gain 15 lbs or pure muscle in a year, you've worked extremely hard at it. As far as combining both Syntha-6 and Monster Mass, I'd consider consuming half a serving of monster mass before and after a workout due to the massive sugar...
@EatSleepLiftLive what if i take 2 scoops of monster mass in the morning with milk and 2-3 scoops after workout with water.and 1 and a half scoop of syntha 6 with milk before bed?
@alexanderkenniethbam You just need to calculate and make sure that you get at least 1g of protein per lean pound of body weight per day. If you can spread it out over the day that would probably be best, so every 4 hours or so try to get some protein.
you people know nothing about protein supplements, the reason why 22g is only protein is that you need carbohydrates post workout- to spike your insolin levels and taking just protein post workout is rubbish. All that will do is that your body will take that protein and turn it into something else which is waste. Syntha 6 is a very decent supplement, as the ratio between carbs and protein is quite good. You people need to take some extra science lessons!!!!
@Legionnaire324 Although you are correct, Syntha-6 is not promoted as a post-workout protein. It is marketed as an AM PM protein powder, i.e. diet supplement. Just in the fact that it is a "Protein Powder" I would expect the majority of the substance to be protein (If you order a beef steak, you don't expect 50% of the steak to be chicken). Overall we did state that it was a decent protein, but that its protein yield is low - which it is - for a protein powder.
@Legionnaire324 Never the less, you do need carbohydrates post workout. Even if it is am to pm, that is even more reason to have carbs, you ea carbs like pasta so when you exercise you have enough energy. say 90% of a supplement was protein, your body would just reject it and turn it into carbs the process is called Gluconeogensis. Also carbs drive everything to your cells after a workout and replenish your body. You could debate the ratio depending on what your training is for.
Its a mrp not a true protein supplement i love it great while at work and cant eat

Syntha 6 is garbage. Kudos to the reviewers for pointing out on the label what a low quality protein this is. 22g of protein in a 44g serving = junk.
