  • Everyone, don't listen to the raging nazis here. I'm German and I'm deeply ashamed for everything that happened. Just don't listen to everyone who is sharing their disgusting thoughts.

  • if steven would be the president of usa ... it would be still the most popular country in the world xD

  • Love the Schindler's List, but god The Fugitive is a masterpiece too...

  • i cried at the end

  • naa kommt jemand aus berlin

  • I was born in 1993.

Do you have any idea what it's like to have most people recognize the year you were born as the same year the saddest movie of all time was made?

Oh hell, who am I kidding. I love this film.

  • The nominees are: The Fugitive, starring me (Harrison Ford); Schindler's List, directed and produced by the director of my Indiana Jones movies, Steven Spielberg.

  • Having Clint Eastwood hold your Oscar for you while you go up to accept another one. Now THAT'S badass.

  • Esta pelicula es muchisimo mejor que titanic.

  • Esta pelicula es muchisimo mejor que Titanic debio a ver ganado mas de 10 estatuillas

  • This Movie is Better then the shit of Avatar!

  • Everyone wanted to kiss Steven Spielberg.

  • I first saw this movie at school in 2002. I've seen it at least 50 times since.

    What an amazing film!

  • Ben Kingsley deserved best supporting actor and Liam Neeson deserved best actor, this really was such a huge movie and there were a lot of categories it lost =(

  • Best picture winning oscar since Casablanca

  • Why did Spielberg made this movie mostly in black and white?

  • @gomamon100 to make it look more realistic .je pense

  • @JKleands1100

Was the reality black and white at the time?

  • @gomamon100 Spielberg said he didn't want anything to be colorful about the holocaust and that black and white felt more suited to the events. It also gives the film a timeless feel, where it feels like it is part of history not from 1993.

  • @gomamon100 To give it historical significance and to cast the shadow of misery that engulfed the victims of the German Nazi cowards during the war and the Holocaust.

  • @gomamon100

The movie is more powerful in black and white.

  • Hey where's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III at??

  • Never Forget the Holocaust. Never.

  • Branko Rustig just gave a talk here at McMaster University . Very humble, and his acute memory brought us all there. Great man.

  • Branko Lustig amazing talk at oscars !!!!! Spielberg amazing movie !!!!! one of the best movies ever !!!!! BIG PROPS !!!!!!!

  • Thank you Spielperg, for giving us this gift of a film.

  • Please, everyone who happens on this web-page without having seen Schindler's List. see it! And for everyone else, kepp talking about it, don't ever let it be forgotten. Forget about Israel, Palestine and politics, and just focus on the horrors of WW2.

  • STEVEN SPIELBERG'S HOLOCAUST HOAX EXPOSED - youtube.com/watch?v=NyMVWVBmGVo

  • @erichuntvideo

May your pubic hair burst into flames as you sleep.

  • CLASSIC film. One of the best of all time.

  • Probably one of the best speeches I have ever heard at the Oscars. It is sad that there were so many ignorant and profoundly evil people that murdered those 6 million because of another ignorant person's saying so. When I was taught about Hitler's "Final Solution" it made me realize that humanity is precious. Life is precious.

  • Love The Fugitive a lot...

  • I Love The Fugitive!

  • Harrison Ford was really hooooot!!!!!

  • 1:12 - Such a touching scene watching two guys who really helped each other made their careers what they are today embrace at the Oscars.

  • There's only been three films that have won 11 Oscars. Schindler's List should have been the only one to have gained 12, for it was nominated for 12 awards.

  • @burrowsshreds If I remember correctly :Ben Hur, Titanic, and Lord of the Rings Return of the King were the 3 to win 11 Oscars, I've seen Titanic (who hasn't) it was such a great movie, Ben Hur I've never seen, Lord of the Rings I haven't seen either how are they?

  • @thecoolj45221

Well, you need to at least see Ben-Hur and The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (The Expended Edition)

  • I may be critical of typical "oscar" movies, but by God, this was probably one of the most well crafted movies I've ever seen and well deserved. I may also be critical of the Israeli government, but I'll always have respect for those who died in this horror.

  • RIP ALL JEWS WHO DIED IN THE HOLOCAUST! HE SHOULD HAVE WORN A KIPPAH TO THE 66TH AWARD CEREMONY!

  • There's an exhibition in St. Louis, at the medical school, I'm going to see it. We should never forget

  • The best...!

  • There is only one movie that has actually drawn me to tears. Schindlers List is that movie.

  • The best movie I've ever seen!!!

  • lol Clint hold my oscar!

  • Fitting that Harrison Ford was the one to present Steven with the Oscar here.

  • It's still being shown in schools as my 17 year old cousin told me. His freshman year in high school...he's seen it 3 times. A timeless classic! Thank you Mr. Spielberg for making this film for the ages.

  • @FormOfSlavery Wow! You are terrible. I guess six million people just vanished into mid-air, the American, Soviet, Polish, British and Canadian soldiers just built giant camps and piled dead bodies everywhere and took videos of it to give them a laugh, Nazi officials created documents saying they planned to exterminate all Jews, Poles, Gypsies and Homosexuals, among many more, for no good reason, than admitted they had committed these crimes during the Nuremberg Trials. You have no soul.

  • it was funny to see Harrison give that humorous pause because his film was first to be named.

  • this movie is beyond horrifying, but it is a gift.

We must accept it, and learn from it. Superb job, Spielberg!

  • One of, it not the most, deserved best picture oscar/best director award winning film ever.

  • @FormOfSlavery

My Grandfather was amongst some if the first platoons on the scene when the allies liberated Bergen-Belsen. He lived with the images of emaciated children, walking skeletons who were guilty of no crime, other than being Jewish.

If, as Hoggan suggests, the Jews perpetrated this 'myth', then did they also manage to bride thousands of German soldiers, not to me ntion Hitler himself, to admit that they had slaughtered millions??

  • @LisaKee73 Your grandfather is a tremendous man. He is a hero in every sense of the word.Did he write down his experiences of WWll and the liberation of this concentration camp?I would like to learn more. I went to Bergen Belson several years ago to pay my respects to the Jews murdered their. It was a tremendously moving experience.

  • @FormOfSlavery so over six million people just vanished out of thin air? sure....

  • LOVE IS.real

  • Not-so-fun fact: Branko Lustig was imprisoned in Auschwitz as a child and weighted only 66 pounds when he was liberated.

  • @FormOfSlavery Go to hell!!!!

  • @FormOfSlavery I am sure my grandfather purposely tattooed those numbers on his forearm just to futher some government conspiracy. I

  • @FormOfSlavery David Hoggan was a nazi sympathyzer, anti semite and historical liar. When Gen. Eisenhower toured the concentration camps he ordered everything there filmed as a true record of the atrocities, as proof, so as he said "people in the future could never deny it happened". It did happen, so cut out the bullshit dickhead.

  • this is back in the day, when winning an oscar meant something...

  • Schindlers List; Best Picture of 1993? Forget that BEST PICTURE EVER MADE.

  • @PeterJacksonClassics Not quite...

How dare you to insult the people speaking in this video when even one of them is a survivor of the holocaust!

  • It's amazing how people feel so bad for the Jews and how Speilberg reiterates it atleast a million times, when the government is to callous and too scared to admit the Armenian Genocide. This government is a fascist one, and they are puppets of the "survivor of the Holocuast" These corporate jews don't allow the Armenian genocide to be recognized. It is such bullshit!

  • @98gunlover Anti-semite. Plain, simple and arrogant.

"It's amazing how people feel so bad for the Jews "--- what is amazing about showing compassion to people who were murdered in gas chambers?! It's called being human.... something you clearly are lacking.

" These corporate jews " / "This government is a fascist one, and they are puppets of the "survivor of the Holocuast" of course, the old line- jews rule the world blah blah blah. why did you put "SURVIVORS" -are u claiming they didn't?

  • God bless Steven Speilberg for producing this movie

  • @jjmastour Not to mention Directing it!

  • I just found out about this movie i want to watch it, but why it was filmed black and white in the 90's

  • @oscaram78 So it would be more poignant, it's seldom use of colour -I'm sure when you watch the film you will agree- is extremely powerful, not forgetting that this is of course a true story so the black and white makes it feel more like it comes from the time it portrays. Hope this helps.

  • New Documentary debunks Steven Spielberg's Holocaust Hoax

The Last Days of the Big Lie

    youtube.com/watch?v=NyMVWVBmGVo

  • It wont remain a footnote because the same thing keeps happening over and over again-Cambodia,Rawanda,ect.

  • most genius, excellent movie madein the world

  • Does anybody remember or have seen the film The Remains of The Day?

  • Everyone KNEW this movie was going to win the minute they saw it in the theater.

  • what is the music when steven Spielberg when he gets the award

  • @ligeraku The main theme from the movie by John Williams.

  • 1993- arguably the third greatest year for cinema (after 1962 and 1939).

  • @EricAKATheBelgianGuy as well as 1994 - Forrest Gump, Pulp Fiction and Shawshank redemption. I could put 2007 for No country for old men and Atonement. 1962 of course because of Lawrence of Arabia, the longest day and to kill a mockingbird and who could forget gone with the wind and the wizard of oz. All classics

  • thx again for posting this.

  • I forgot, Steve directed Harrison Ford in the Indiana Jones movies.

  • The most deserving best picture winner of the 90's. No contest.

  • @BeecroftA Agreed, there were lots of best picture winners in the 90's that didnt deserve it, especially dances with wolves, forrest gump and shakespeare in love.

  • A good film, but not the best. The Piano was the best picture of 1993.

  • @KeyserGalt No way...good movie but not better than Schindlers List.

  • @KeyserGalt absolutely not

  • @KeyserGalt schindlers list won the golden globe for best picture drama, bafta for best film, and virtually every other film critic award so how can u say its not the best picture of 1993

  • Every time I watch this, no matter what, Mr. Lustig's speech always moves me to tears.

  • I song is called Schindler's list by itzhak perlman I believe so.

  • What is the name of the music playing when Ford saying the nominees? Does anyone know? Please!!!

  • What is the name of the music playing during Ford saying the nominees? Does anyone know? Please!

  • What is the name of the music playing during Ford saying the nominees? Does anyone know? Please!

  • That year belonged to Schindlers List... there was no fucking question about it. One of the greatest films of all time. I can only hope that 50-100 years from now it will still be remembered

  • @natedoggcata So true! What a brilliant film, so sad and touching.

  • There are few films that match the emotional power, the sadness, the horror and the incredible sense of decency of the human spirit even in the darkest times. This the the most DESERVING OSCAR OF ALL TIME!!!

  • steven you should make movie about Irena Sendler-simple nurse that save 2500 jewish children....because rich german bussinesman- schindler dont need memorie...

  • @dasbootxxx

1100 jews he saved wouldn't agree with you.

  • @dasbootxxx When life is at its darkest moments is when light shines the brightest. The Holocaust is no exception. People like Schindler, Sendler and countless others risked everything to save the lives of friends, acquaintances and even strangers. Some even paid the ultimate penalty. It would be wonderful to tell every story of sacrifice and bravery during the Holocaust. However, that is an impossible feat. Look to movies like Schindler's List as a testament to all the heroes.

  • Hahah funny how Harrison Ford was being considered for the lead in Schindler's List, and he has to present this award. :P

  • This is awesome but can they give Ralph Fiennes an award pronto!!

  • I like the term "Best Picture" better than "Best Motion Picture" . Too bad they changed it

  • Schlinder's list wold have been heart wrenching if it was fiction.

  • @AngelusDlion Surprisingly most of the movie, esp. the villian, is serverly downplayed to be more 'realistic'

  • Most deserving oscar of all time... No other film has made realize how proud I am to and how special life can be and how proud i am of my religion... This film is simply the best there is, the best there was and the best there ever will be

  • The best film i've ever seen but how many Oscars did it get?

  • @filbunk I think 7 or 8

  • @filbunk Seven:

Best Music, Art Direction, Picture, Director, Cinematography, Adapted Screenplay and Editing.

    Just phenomenal.

  • @Kessler1996 Should have won Best Actor and Best Supporting Actor.

  • Funny my teacher listened to his advice. I saw this movie first in my history class junior year(an edited version off course but I soon saw the unedited version).

  • And when the holocaust survivor got up to speak they started the music.

  • this movie and song still gives me chills and tears

  • Schindler's List: Best War/ Biography/ Drama film ever made!

  • the USA will continue to disintegrate as long as chooses to remain complicit in the "Holocaust" propaganda fraud which stemmed from WW2. God created the jews in order to expose all those who would join forces with Lucifer in the war between good and evil which in large part is the continuous battle waged between the truth and lies.

  • Who in the world is that gorgeous woman from 1:43-1:46?

  • @FernandoHEspinoza Spielberg's wife?

  • @FernandoHEspinoza That's his wife, Kate Capshaw.

  • @dicekpapi18 Have you never see Indiana Jones and the Temple of doom!!!

  • @FernandoHEspinoza Kate Capshaw, Speilberg's wife

  • 18 dislikes were nazi

  • @Quy4life HAR HAR HAR WE HAVE ALL SEEN THOSE STUPID JOKES

  • @Quy4life or uneducated idiots!

  • The Piano was one of the worst pieces of trash I've ever seen.

  • Stephen Spielberg sitting down, scratching his chin with an Oscar.

    By God they deserved it.

  • Because of this movie and the writings of all holocaust survivors, this piece of history is now required teaching in schools and most high school students by the age of 18 have seen Schindler's List.

  • @mikef508 Before this film it wasn't required to teach students in America about WW2 and the Nazi horror?? Fucking hell, that is absolutely ridiculous! Next someone's gonna tell me American high school students haven't heard of the genocide in Rwanda, the genocide in Cambodia under the Kmher rouge government or the death squads and Dictatorships in South America during the 70s and 80s.

  • @adventerer they never taught us about those genocides. many people don't take high school ( or education for that matter) serious including the school board. Pity but it is what it is.

  • @mikef508 We saw it in school, yesterday! (I'm 15)

  • Harrison Ford saying The Fugitive! IRONIC!

  • the greatest director of our time.

  • 1:00 Dirty Harry was also here

  • Spielberg, "Hey Indy, thanks for the oscar"

  • this is the best film i have ever hated watching,a story i didnt want to hear but needed too, amazing, wouldve been a travesty if it hadnt won.

  • hahahaha indianna and stephen lol :)

  • So sorry to see the "Ladies" trying to PUSH them off the stage...

  • Before we watched this movie in my history class, all of my friends at lunch used to constantly crack Nazi and Jew jokes. We knew they were bad, but it just didn't seem important. We learned about the holocaust, yes, but there's no way to experience it...it just feels like another chapter in our history book. But after I saw this movie, I felt so horrible. I understood what they went through and why people can get offended. Let's just say the jokes ended. Everyone needs to watch this movie.

  • @puddlesofpenguins Tell your friends to read a book called 'Seed of Sarah". It is the story of a real person who I might add is still alive (she lives in Maine and is a proud grandmother now, happy and healthy and one of the sweetest little old ladies your could hope to meet.) She survived both Auschwitz and a subcamp of Buchenwald. Just about one day after her 18th birthday in July of 44, the Nazis came to Kaposvar, Hungary (CONT)

  • and rounded up a community of about 4,000 Jews. They gassed her father, her uncles, her aunts, all her school friends, and her grandparents. She watched as some people were burned alive at Auschwitz. The Nazis treated her like she was less than human & by some miracle she managed to survive alongside her mother & Aunt Magda. (CONT)

  • @puddlesofpenguins I wish we could watch it in my history class. Of course the school deems it "too graphic".

  • @puddlesofpenguins Lucky, my classmate saw a black-and-white opportunity to sleep.

  • @puddlesofpenguins I remember watching Schindler's List when I was in high school in 2000. I'm happy to know it still holds relevance to modern day students. While some parts of it are historically inaccurate, it's overall story is something that has no rival. There was no historical precedence to tell everyone that what is happening is wrong. Such a great and epic film.

  • @puddlesofpenguins You are so right, my friend. I did not understand the brutality of the holocaust or the madness that Adolf Hitler actually brought with his Nazi party before this film. I am a bit ashamed to say that I didn't really understand why people thought Hitler was the personification of evil, I thought he was bad, but that he had some motives for his actions. Schindler's List took me back on the right path, it's a masterpiece no one should miss :)

  • @puddlesofpenguins Unfortunately there are people in my country which tell these jokes. In Poland. this is sad. Germans killed milions of innocent people (most was Polish Jews), but there are so stupid people in my country. It's shame. Many people stil wish Jews death, they say: "Hitler made good thing killing so much these pricks" This is really horrible. it's sad, but watching "Schindler's List" never gonna change it. This is a world we live in.

  • @puddlesofpenguins - Dont know u, but im proud of u for understanding that we can never joke about anyone's suffering. We need more people like you....

  • the fugitive was a good movie

  • I find it awesome that Indiana Jones gave Spielberg the oscar!

  • What the hell is The piano?!?!

  • @KodierungHerz set in the 1850s in New Zealand ..Holly Hunter, Sam Neil. Harvey Keitel...Arranged marriage and all that serious stuff....

  • @KodierungHerz

it's a great movie about a mute woman who plays the piano. If Schindler's list was not made this year, the piano might have won. Holly Hunter won best actress.

  • @KodierungHerz Behind the 6 million in front of it. Sorry, hon. Schindler's List deserved it.

  • makes me sad that it took this long for a spielberg film to win award

  • its great that ford wanted to present the Best picture Oscar with the hope that he cold give it to his great friend Spielberg and you can see the great friendship they have on stage.

  • IT DOES NOT GET ANY MORE REAL THAN THIS LAST SPEECH.

  • Why is Harrison Ford hosting it when he stars in the Fugitive a film that was nominated.

  • @Ihavealife100 because he only wanted to do it for the prospect that he could be giving the Oscar over to his good friend Spielberg.

  • @Ihavealife100 dunno, but he almost laughed!

  • oh harrison, we hardly knew ye.

  • by far the most difficult movie to watch.

  • 1:12. For a moment there, I thought Steven was going to kiss Harrison.

  • despite what people will say that the Piano is better than Schindler, there's no film that reaches the emotional tone and affects every person out there who's been mistreated: MOST DESERVING OSCAR OF ALL TIME

  • Branko Lustigs short speach is the BEST speach of the Oscars - ever !!!

  • I was 13 when this movie won the oskars, i watched it so many many times... it has been the first movie and still is the only movie that makes me get tears in my eyes. Oskar was such a wonderful man. I often wonder what i would have done, how I would have behaved if i had lived in those terrible days. I wish for all holocaust survivers and their children and grandchildren a long and healthy live.

  • If this film didn't win that year, it would have been a travesty. I think even the losers of the Best Picture award would agree.

  • is this why my history teacher show us the movie cuz to show the holocaust

  • The most worthy winner

  • I repeat spielbergs centiments teach your kids and grandkids about both ww's and don't let the 6 million jews who died and the 30 million russians who died as well don't let hitler become as distant as the other horrific tyrants always make sure the poppy we wear means something.

  • @sexysport201 what did the russians do?

  • Badass how Indy gets to hand him his Oscar.

  • Well it(s been 17 years now, and I am pleased that Shindler's List is still considered as one of the greatest movie ever. I will always remember the first time I saw it, 4 years ago. I was depressed for 3 days. But it(s called a masterfucking cinema experience !

  • @chespi500 what about the godfather movies those are epic.

  • @hadji1973 The Godfather is an overrated piece of shit.

  • @southparkfan2717 so contrary, disagreeing with thousands of critics and filmmakers alike. so brave [/sarcasm]

  • @southparkfan2717 no it isn't.

  • one of the few good decisions made by the academy, but then again they gave best supporting actor to Tommy Lee Jones for The Fugitive instead of Ralph Fiennes for Schindler's List

  • fuck shakespeare in love

  • One of the top ten best movies ever made. A film so haunting, it stays with the viewer as an essential part of their movie going experience.
