  • that is how crazy it gets.thou shall not kill.yet it is ok for god to kill thousands of ppl during war.jehovah or christian it is out rages.crazy making no sense at all.

  • watch the movie zietgeist or esoteric agenda

  • The Jesus that Zeitgeist tries to "debunk" is not even the Jesus of the Bible. One can easily discern this in the way the film stresses that other pagan gods were also born on Dec 25 (among other fallacious claims). The Bible doesn't even give the exact season he was born, let alone the date. Any claims made otherwise by the Catholic church were derived from pagan origin. Zeitgeist is nothing but a smokescreen with a New-Age agenda. Just look at the references the filmmakers used.

  • Are those who disagree with this video and think that war is never the answer under any circumstance 100% pacifist & 100% non-violent? Are there any circumstances that you would condone Christian involvement in polotics, war...self defense? Does your pacifism also extend to things of a lesser degree, such as the police force? What about a Christian teacher who has to break up a fight at school? Or a teenager who is trying to stop his father from abusing his mother? Where do you draw the line?

  • What about the thousands and thousands of Born Again Christians serving in Iraq for OIL?

Give me a Break....Watch the series "Total Onslaught" on google video and see who politicians serve.

  • Hi Jake :) Not sure what your point is...unless you are trying to draw attention away from the questions I asked? Do you have an answer to the questions posed?

  • Are you a christian Fair?.....What would Jesus' disciples do?

  • I think you are a Born Again Christian Fair....there are many serving in Iraq right now. Are we there in self defense?..Does God approve of kids being murdered?...Would Jesus approve?...Your Pastor could tell His entire congregation not to enlist...but he doesn't...does he?

Our "horrible cult" forbids military service,,,who is following the Christ?

  • Again, Jake, you are avoiding my questions and shifting focus to something different. Will you address my questions? If not, thank you for your comments, but there's no need for you to comment further if you don't want to address what I asked in my original comment specifically :)

  • No Fair...I am not allowing you to control the conversation and you do not like it. You cannot defend this current war as an act of self defense...that's simply a lie...and your Born Again President is at the charge.

Can't you see the suffering?....You think Christ condone's such behavior? Are these Born Again soldiers following Christ? This is the light of the World?...the salt of the Earth? How did Jesus feel about children? Have you seen the photos of victimized kids in Iraq?

  • Sorry Jake, but your comments don't have anything to do with my origingal comment. I asked a question. Do you have an answer? From your responses I'm guessing your answer to that would be no...?

  • Do you serve the President of the US or God.......You cannot have two masters....

Herein lies the problem Fair...If the government would repent and return to the TRUE GOD YHWH just maybe we wouldn't have to go to war.....ever think about that?

  • "Do you serve the President of the US or God"

I serve God :) Do you have an answer to the question that I asked?

  • Now that I have answered your questions...answer mine....Would Jesus send His disciples into a military conflict for any human government?

A mere yes or no will suffice.

  • Sorry, Jake, you did not answer my question...

  • I did indeed Fair...see above....will you answer mine now?

  • "Now that I have answered your questions...answer mine....Would Jesus send His disciples into a military conflict for any human government?"

Jake, I will not presume to speak for Jesus and limit what he will or will not do. Perhaps you should ask him yourself :)

  • fairwhether1, there are plenty of people who would criticize not only Jehovahs Witnesses and their beliefs, but life, governments and many other things. There have been many who accepted the truth and then in bitterness to discipline that is from the scriptures, they choose to rally all disatisfied people and twist the truths for the very faith they came to accept from Gods word. One illustration, garden of gethsame, Jesus said to Peter, you live by the sword you die by the sword

  • There is a big difference in self defense and going to war Fair. Should Christians involve themselves in politics?...no...Jesus' kingdom is no part of this world. Should a christian break up a fight.... yes "happy are the peacekeepers" Should a christian be a police officer....NO...it might compromise being a Christian....Light of the World Fair...Salt of the Earth.

  • "There is a big difference in self defense and going to war Fair."

In some instances, perhaps. In others, I disagree.

"Should Christians involve themselves in politics?...no...Jesus' kingdom is no part of this world."

Jesus' kingdom is no part of this world, correct. But what scripture says that Christians are not to be involved in politics?

    "happy are the peacekeepers"

Why do you allow this to be done individually, but not on a larger scale such as police or military?

  • Now will you be so kind Fair to tell me if you think Jesus would have his disciples enrole in the military.....

    Yes or No is sufficient.

  • "Now will you be so kind Fair to tell me if you think Jesus would have his disciples enrole in the military.....

    Yes or No is sufficient."

I have answered your question as well, Jake...please see below :)

  • "Jesus' kingdom is no part of this world, correct. But what scripture says that Christians are not to be involved in politics?"

Fair. Ask urself the famous question. What Would Jesus Do?....well lets think here, hmmm..if Jesus didnt involve himself in politics..What should i do???....duh

    dnt be ridiculous. o_O

  • Condoning a military or political role for a Christian seriously waters down Christs specific message of peace. Would the conflicts of the first and second world war, whereby catholics killed catholics; protestant killed protestant etc, be acceptable to Christ? The love which Christ promoted is what makes his message special; it creates a person that is moved to reject this worlds warring nature. John 13:34-35

  • Viewers of these videos should get the whole scene and background information for each of the scriptures mentioned. A study of the activities of the First century Christians and their views on holding political office and being in the military is interesting.

  • You say that Christians are 'salt' and 'light' of world in 'every aspect'; can you show me where Christ says his followers would be involved in the politics of the world? In Matthew 5:1-10 gives added insight into Christs message of peace; his followers would be 'salt' and 'light' to a world needing his message of peace; never a message to condone war.

  • Acts 8:25-40, the Eunuch, a court official, off to Jerusalem to worship (according to the New Testament Gods favour had left the Jews and was now with the Christians); so that was BEFORE his conversion to Christianity. You cannot use that scripture either to support a Christians involvement in polictics.

  • In fact, several years after Christs ministry, the first gentile is recorded as accepting his message, as quoted above in Acts 10:, when the invite to accept was extented to gentiles or people outside of the Jewish faith; this invite drew many in to christs message of peace; would Cornelius also have remained a 'soldier, trained to kill as a Roman' once he became a christian? Even Christ taught 'Live by the sword; die by the sword' Matt.26:52

  • Your reference to the above scriptures to try and support Christian involvement in war and politics is extremely misleading. For example, Christs' message was to be given first to the Jews by means of his preaching; along the way he encountered people that showed faith in what they had heard about him; e.g the centurion; do you believe the centurion would have remained a trained killer whilst being a follower of Christ?
