I only brought up WWII in response to your silly comment, not as a primary retort. As for France's involvement in Libya and Afghanistan, they are there by default due to to their membership in NATO. France has minor roles in both. The USA and Britain have led the charge in both those conflicts.

@darko925 Actually, french is number 17th world language. Yet is a "world language" in the UN, and the Eurovision. In the world scene it is seen more important than Hindi, Spanish, Mandarin, German, Bengali, Portuguese, Punjabi etc.
