Just after he is cut in the film he says that the danger comes not from the masses but from the governments for which killing is technically easier than controlling. Just after he is cut in the film he says that the danger comes not from the masses but from the governments for which killing is technically easier than controlling. You were very misleading. Brzezinski is absolutely criticizing the political awakening. Its one of his major themes of 2008 and 2009. A politically awakened masses makes their job much more difficult. In his own words, 50 years ago it was MUCH easier to control a million people than to kill them and now it is infinitely easier to kill a million people. He discusses this every time in the context of how this is a problem for the power structures.
