Murdering is when you break into a house and kill someone or you're in like a gang war or something. Take the Iraq War as an example.
The USA was attacked. The government had to be seen to stand strong and retaliate or it *would lose the support of its *people**. It acted on behalf of the general population of the USA, although you might not want to admit it now, that is what you wanted at the time.
You can hate the UK Govt, though, as they went to war despite the biggest protest in our long, long history. They did what they wanted, not what we wanted.
