interesting, did you get the whole track and drive set up for free? I have been thinking of building something similar using snomobile drive parts, but I like the setup your using better.

@evinsteven13 I had to pay for it, or I traded something, don't remember, but good tracks are worth money, they wear out. I got a new track design going on now, should get it together this summer.

I too; am working on a similar tracked riding mower project. The full track concept won't work on a riding mower very well, if at all. Too much weight for such a small gas engine and the trans-axle won't last very long either. I'm building a half-track version with a tandem axle on the rear.

If you try a company that sells tracks you may be able to get two new tracks for a cheap price that aren't going to fall apart and that haven't been repaired/fixed like a hundred or dozen times.

@MsAbbydo Thanks bro, I got a whole new design I have been working on this winter. I am going to get back to this tractor in the spring, and put a blade for the snow before next winter.

I like the skid steer idea better, if you go with the skies you are limited to just winter use.

And I have 2 pair of those cam sunglasses, got them from ebay and niether of them work lol, I shot 2 videos with them and that was it!

hay you've been holding out on me lol. Looks good. Do the skid steer, but might be hard to make it steer right without using two hydraulic motors.

@pacificcloud I test drove it the other day and lost both tracks. Got it all fixed up and going to add rollers to keep the tracks on.

@pacificcloud that belt setup works good for a mower when it works right. yours eating belts was probably because the pulleys was not smooth enough witch eats belts. but like i said before it is only good for mowing not much els. mine works great on my mower. kinda nice to speed up and slow down like a hydro but with out the price or problems of a hydro.

@rustyj3100 Thats out at the buggy farm, but I am living in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. We can go out there on the weekend in the summer if you like. Its cold rite now, and its a 2 hour return trip. I'll be having lots more lawn tractor fun this summer.
