Most people don't know, but feeder goldfish are terrible feeders for any animal, and pet store ones are full of parasites and other bad stuff. I wouldn't let anything eat them. :<

Most people don't know, but feeder goldfish are terrible feeders for any animal, and pet store ones are full of parasites and other bad stuff. I wouldn't let anything eat them. :<

@Fleefles Yes, you are correct about that. Every time I bought feeders for my Oscars or my Morray Eel, I would have to treat them for HIH. The only safe feeders are ones you raise yourself. I also raise my own crickets.

@superkitty12345 These were feeder fish I bought at the pet store, and I wanted to see if I could teach Peanut how to fish, so if he got lost he would know how to take care of himself. He was unable to catch a single fish, so we ended up putting the fish in a friend's backyard fountain, where they grew really big, and lived a long happy life.
