@bombsaway742 in all honestly the average length of a female retic in captivity is low 20 feet range or high teens, but In getting an animal like this you can't really rely on the average, I am prepared for this snake to get 30 feet long, will it happen? I almost guarantee it won't but should it I will be ready and there shouldn't be any problems, If you expect an animal to get to its maximum size and accomodate for that, you can never go wrong, a lot of people do the opposite and have trouble.

I watched the video when those were born! Jay was pretty psyched when they came out! You must of paid a pretty penny for it! Those prehistoric pets snakes can get really pricey as most of them are pretty rare! But they make some really nice and unique snakes at the reptile zoo!

The questions you asked I'm sure have been answered already by Jason himself before he even got the retic, which all animal keepers should do before they get something new, and we all know that he is fully capable of owning an animal of this size.

2 No it won't you clearly know nothing about snakes, and are trying to act like you know more than you do, second i don't plan on putting any infants in the retics cage which will be locked at all times.
3 Do you actually have the first idea how big a female retic gets, unless i have an unusually large specimen which is unlikely they can be fed rabbits, easily found at any reptile store
4 more people get killed in a month by safety scissors than have been killed by strangulation by captive pythons in the past 20 years
5 Judging from your lack of grammar you are most likely a young kid, which in retrospect probably means i have been keeping reptiles longer than you have been alive

Just wasn't familiar with her and have been bitten by retics before, they have a pretty gnarly bite.

@cavajason Also, that is not a purple. Albinos also come in a lavender phase, which is what you have there. The purples are literally purple.

2 if you have a young family member it would see it as a pray item and once they get hold of something as you will know they dont let it go

there is no real 100% way of knowing most females will grow to be 18+ feet others stay much smaller and others can be close to 30 ft
