Letting Go Made Me a Better Mom to My Adult Children

OMG, what a fantastic Mom! I wish my Mom could take your advice, we constantly fall out because she tries to control and manipulate me, but I'm 44! Clearly, it is my life and it is near impossible to have a relationship with her. It would be great to have a mom who was able to accept that I am free to live my life, her attempts to control are not going to change anything, except to drive me away.

Questioning what other "work" is just as important as being a parent is a good way to "let go". Being honest to an adult 'child' with your thoughts is a good way to "let go" too; and not being afraid to make any more "mistakes" after motherhood works too. Good luck "letting go".
