Fundamental Christians follow the Jesus of the bible. The Jesus of the bible doesn't only teach forgiveness and to love your neighbor, he also teaches to hate your family and to leave them. He tells you to hate the world and what's in it. He also condemns you to the outer darkness for not believing in him.

This is the problem. People pick and choose what part of the gospels they want to follow. The whole think should be recognized as nothing more that myth and not truth.

Those people are on first-name terms with God, or have a Messiah complex, and this is why they detest people who do not follow THEIR way home to God. ALL religions lead people home. I dont agree with Chris Hedges on everything, but I share his anger and anxiety about the coming political shift. I hope we all vote to defeat these theocrats come next election.
