Ok, I'm about ready to take this down due to the bickering. Intrastate rivalry- good, let that inspire both bands, but I'm tired of the childish "you suck" stuff. Marching MIzzou- it's a fact you got caught looking rough- and this is proof that folks are watching and that you are always "on stage". SWMSU/MSU folks, you have a good band, but the Marching Mizzou band I was in in 1979 would blow you back to Kansas, so don't think too highly of yourselves either.
Not only did the flutes miss the step off, but the low brass at the front wasn't even at attention. If one person does that at Mo. State, they get chastised. I guess it doesn't matter though. This is the only college band that I can think of that my high school band could beat in a competition. By the way...GO BEARS!!!
I agree with MUgirl11. People tend to forget to the flics and thus speed up as they are turning corners. It happens every parade with multiple corners. Also, you happened to catch them towards the start of the parade. As the parade go further the lines straighten out. Anyone who hasn't marched before needs to try it at least once and see what we have to deal with.
We didn't miss the step off...the rows ahead of us were taking too long to round the curve and it made it impossible to catch up without breaking form.
nobody is perfect . you make mistakes in your life . no big deal .

Its the homecoming parade. I doubt any of the students cared. But reguardless its still not exceptible to be out of step at the college level.

Missouri State pride band members can act elitist because, when compared to the big SUCK of the Midwest, they ARE elite.

Haha, hilarious. Another reason to NOT be in Marching Mizzou.
Missouri State Pride Band - Best band in the state, one of the best in the Midwest.
Marching Mizzou - High School bands own them...oh, and they sometimes march with flip folders.
GO BEARS!

Wow.... way to represent your band and your school. You are pathetic and a disgrace. It's band, people... we should be all in the activity together.
Look, if you want to be an elitist snob... then go to SMS.
