I've been a long time PTH fan and have been listening to their albums frequently for years in anticipation for Scurrilous. After listening the the new album today I have to say there is nothing worse than having high expectations for something and it turns out mediocre. It just doesn't have the spark that the others had. No screaming, generic guitar sweeps that sound very similar to Fortress, no badass intros that they did so well before. To be honest the whole album feels bland. I'm sad.

I was a bit worried about this album. I was thinking "What can they possibly have left to offer after an album like Fortress? Can they keep their characteristic sound from Fortress without Scurrilous sounding like Fortress vol 2?" But this song didn't disappoint me on any level. I didn't get any feeling of "been there done that" like I was afraid I would. And yet it still sounds like the Protest the Hero I came to love the most.
