  • I'm christian and i like this song. It isn't offensive, its an opinion and i do see it as an attack on corruption, not people who believe in God.

  • I see this as more of an anti-corrupt religion song more than anti christian.

  • Jason Anderson much?

  • I'd like to see a bland Christian rock band match this guy's energy and melodic capabilities

  • I think that this song edges towards pro-humanism rather than atheism. Please don't attack me, it's just my view of it.

  • @nomicealoud why are pro-humanity and atheism mutually exclusive?

  • @TheAnonynja I don't really think they're that exclusive to be honest. Everyone is a humanist to some degree. Just a lot of people turn to a god instead, and a lot of people think that if you don't believe in any god you're an atheist. Personally, I don't like the word atheist, I mean, the proper meaning is okay, but it has so many negative connotations. I just waffled on there about nothing cause I don't really understand what you're getting at. What are you getting at?

  • @crazyladyKlrsty oh wah so he said there is no God? He excludes all sorts of religions in this song not just Christianity so get over it

  • This is no more offensive to Christians or believers as hymns are telling us there is a God. Hymns tell us all about how groovy god is meant to be, this song is just the opposite to religious songs that are on Sunday afternoon tv. But as ever, athesists are jumped on if they dare to question anything. And it's not specifically about Christianity. Get over it.

  • "If you question your own faith after a 3 minuite pop song you really need to ask questions of that faith" Franks words He doesnt mean to convert people to atheism with this song it's more a song of how everybody should accept people and live together harmoniously in complete freedom not a question of faith really.

  • @silcky1993 I get that I just got a bit narked off by the top comment. I surppose as music should appeal to all this song doesn't real appeal to christians. It was saying christians should be affaid of the thruth i had to disagree completely obvisely as people with faith or people with none will have different opions to what the thruth is. I do like loads of his songs though Such as Peggy sang the blues, I am disappeared is brill song.

  • I felt abit type cast too

As us christians arent a boring sort though

  • @crazyladyKIrsty I suppose not all music can appeal me oh wellgon a listen to peggy sang the blues now instead

  • @crazyladyKIrsty Who said music should appeal to all? Its a really clever song. Its a positive song just telling you to live your life and not worry about some mythical being judging you.

  • I'm a christian ok people can have their own opinon. Ok if that's Frank Turner's That will have to be fine with me. But why on earth do you people affraid. As long there is a comments box people should be able to to take the bad with the good. Talkiing about an anti christian song if ever I heard it. But I surppose it's up to him. I do like other FrankTurner stuff. I love I am disapeared and peggy sang the blues. Which talks about an angel called Peggy . So go figure.

  • @crazyladyKIrsty Seems to me more of an anti-religion song, not exclusively Christianity. Frank doesnt seem to push his beliefs on the public or fans at all, its just his opinion that he wrote a song about. No different than someone writing a religious song.

  • I'm not dissing frank just this song but he does loads of other great songs besides it's just my opinion from a christian point of view. Same as this song is his opinion as you said. I'm glad i bought up a topic though.

  • @crazyladyKIrsty suppose if Christians used there influence right the song is actually how Christians should act not having a holy than thou attitude but obviously the hole there is no god dose contradict God and is blasphemy

  • As a christian i respect other people's beliefs and I do not consider myself as holier than everyone else. I just feel this song excludes christians and i don't exclude people that help a different religious view than me

  • @crazyladyKIrsty 1 john 3:16 and i believe you can change the world with that attitude

  • This song makes me smile and reminds me of how goddamn wonderful I felt when I finally figured out that I didn't have to be afraid anymore.

  • Awesome song, and greetings from r/atheism on Reddit!

  • Amazing song

  • This is pretty much how I felt when I realized there were no gods watching everything I do. This song is great.

  • i love this song! what an awesome version

  • Only a Christian afraid of the truth will dislike this.
