if i remember right.... Ray had to wing this song for about a good 20 min and none of the band knew what the hell he was playing until 4 min later they started to wing it lol
Called the "Genius" for a reason. Beyond ahead of his time. Some are/were the master of voice or song but Ray was and always will be the master of sound. There will never be another.
I like the way the people want to move , its 7 am and I'm blasting . I remember my Dad getting us kids up and having us sing Ray Charles songs as a group . I'll give you $10 dollars if you can listen to this and not at least tap your toe
funny you see white and black all mixed up in the audience and a lotta back people are in front [ or at least inbetween ] the whites. where was this concert filmed at ?
wow my great grandmother and grandfather really got a thrill from watching this lol..they started to dance together in a way i have never seen..it was almost like swinging and twisting
The night of the riot, July 4th, 1960. The Raelets appeared on stage at Sonny's in Newport the next afternoon. Walk in, no cover, no nothing. Those days are gone forever. Great post.
From the look of the audience he wasn't the only one higher than alien farts
