i were ex para. i then went RAF REGT . im so proud these lads. my career were cut short but ill always have a buzz bout honz and the reg. these guys are a great bunch. i might of run rings round em phys wise... (joke dont bite) but many a friend made n ur out their now so god bless n stay low n safe ;o)
I would just like to point out that the band leading this parade is not (repeat NOT) the Army Air Corp Band. It is an RAF Band - quite possibly the Band of the RAF Regiment but more likely to be the Central Band of the RAF who were, until its recent closure, also based at RAF Unxbridge. The band have also done several tours of duty in Afganistan and deserve recognition. Please correct this donedw.
@MrLiqouricestick I agree with you, it is most certainly an RAF Band, how I came to say 'Army Air Corp Band', simple, I took it blindly from the Uxbridge Gazette, silly me,
Check the official Hillingdon Borough video of the same event, they say the same Army Band. I should have noted the uniform. Gutted, Sorry to the band. donedw
great to see such a turn out for the welcome home parade my 5 yr old son really enjoyed it and loved watching your video to see the other end as we couldn't get down this end for him to see many thanks
