  • what a hell? i want that big displaaaay! woow

  • It doenst dwnload on my triumph also wats the thinq u copu from urcomputer to the triumph? ive been tryinq for weeks n no success i might as well just give up

  • No, I got it worked out. I wiped everything from my sd card and started from scratch. The issue was with the UMPH kernel, and not with cwm. I have since updated from the 4.something version I had, to the 5.0.2.6 version, and am trying to install the 1/26/12 edition of cyanogenmod7. I wiped everything from my phone again, but it still says I need 46mb more space.... i only have the stock 2 gb sd card from the triump, but I removed all apps, and did factory reset, so I don't get why I have no room

  • I got the cwm installed, and I put a kernel on my phone that is supposed to allow overclocking of the phone's cpu, as the phone is quite laggy. I followed all directions to the letter.. the kernel is called UMPH... I'm pretty bumed out right now haha. I did a data wipe/factory restore, and tried to reboot the phone, and nothing changed. still either freezing on the M screen, or just loops itself in a restart...over and over and over...

  • @killbosby What ROM did you have installed...UMPH isn't compatible with all ROMs. Go to my channel and look for the latest CM7 Reloaded ROM and install JSUT that, no overclock kernel or anything. See how that does.

  • @minus5252 I can't install anything... phone just keeps restarting...says f drive is corupt?

  • @killbosby Are you still having issues? I have a family member in the hospital, so can't help much right now. Go to motorolatriumphhacks (dot) com and ask there if you are still having issues. Sorry I can;t be more help right now!

  • Hmm... Well... now, my phone keeps restarting itself... over and over and over....

  • @killbosby What did you do right before that started...last I knew you said it was working. Don't worry, we'll get this figured out, but ALWAYS post as much relevant info when you need help.

  • Sweeeeet. Totally worked. THANKS FOR POSTING! Hopefully my phone will be less laggy now while gaming. That gets old pretty fast.

  • So... I am not really what I did, but clearly did something wrong... I followed the video EXACTLY, after watching it like... 6 times. When I started it back up holding the volume up and down and the power key, it shows me an exclamation mark and a little android guy.... Is my phone screwed now?

  • @killbosby No, you can't really brick it...try pulling the battery and start over from scratch...

  • @minus5252 Alrighty, thanks. Kinda nervracking haha, I'm not much of a tech guy, so I am trying to be VERY careful.

  • I have a motorola triumph and just to let you know, your channel has been infinitely helpful with installing Tinkerguy's CM7 A0.8 and it has made my phone very enjoyable even though I do have some annoying bugs since it is an engineering model.

  • @jacksonguitarman Thanks! By the way, you should go to my channel and check out the CM7 Reloaded ROMs...they're way better than what you are currently running! WAY BETTER!

  • @minus5252 Better than A0.8? I will definitely give it a look. The first day I installed A0.8 many apps forced closed on me and the gps didn't work. I ended up turning it off overnight and the next day everything was smooth as butter with no force closes!

  • @jacksonguitarman WAY better.

  • does it matter if i have usb debugging on?

  • @consumptionmishap Nope, shouldn't

  • Thank You, Worked, fist Watch the video, then play the video one more them while doing the mod. :) Nice Work on the mod thank you

  • @hitmentip7979 Awesome, but a bit of advice, you should go to my channel and look for "clockworkmod 5.0.2.6" and install that, as it is a newer version.

  • @minus5252 k sure will thanks

  • What is the benefit of doing this? I just did it and it works.. but then im like... "Why did I just do this?" So I am posting here now..

  • @BSchorr Lol...you actually need to install the newest version of clockworkmod (go to my channel and search for 5.0.2.6), then you can install CyanogenMod 7, a Gingerbread ROM for the Triumph that will make the phone perform a LOT better. To find the guide for CyanogenMod 7 (CM7) go to my channel and search for "Beta 7" for the latest release.

  • wat if the fhone is not fully charge like 80%???

  • @1klitchy1 80% is fine. It is just a precaution so that people don't try this with an 8$ battery or something. Thanks for watching and don't forget to subscribe!

  • @1klitchy1 I meant 8%, not 8$

  • @minus5252 Im getting a "!" sign along with the picture of a Android when booting up after disconnecting from the computer. Help?

  • @Roger5970 Pull the battery.

  • THAN KYOU!!!

  • I can't find the nandroid back up when I'm in clockmod setting thing...I have it downloaded and all..just wont show up even when I choose restore..do u know how I can fix this???

  • @kronic760 Did you put the folder in clockworkmod/revocery (I think that is the path, it is something like that) on your SD card?

  • Comment removed

  • @minus5252 no i didnt..but i can only find it when i connect it to the computer, and its on the root of the sd card.when i download the nandroid back up am i supposed to unzipp it.ohh yea when im in clockmod recovery and try to go to the download folder it sends me back to the main menue... :(

  • @kronic760 Nandroid backups need to be extracted, and the folder goes in ClockworkMod/backup or something very similar to that.

  • I'm so sick and tired of people providing multiple download files to free services that only allow 1 download every 30 minutes..... wish people would start bundling the files.

  • @jerimiahy I wish people would say thank you.

  • @minus5252 I'll say thank you when I'm done. Which I just finished. Thanks. I'm more annoyed at these download services than yourself. I'm sorry that I got frustrated I just have been running into this a lot lately.. I'm about 40 minutes in just downloaded cm7 file and now waiting the next 30 minutes for

  • @jerimiahy ... support the sited by paying or watch the commercials/popups while you wait for FREE bandwith.

  • dude all your fuck them all

  • @arskface ?

  • umm, i have the motorola triumph and i downloaded the clockwork but idk were im supposed to move the stuff on the cumputer

  • @deasiacutiepie I have an updated version of this process (using updated files, so be sure to download the new ones from the video description in the link I'm providing): youtube (dot) com /watch?v=9N_ictfa8KQ

  • Yo I got a question.. is there anyway you can delete nandroid back ups, such as in clockwork mod recovery v. 5.0.2.6? Can you make a video on this or tell me how to do this or if this is possible? Thanks I appreciate all your videos and your help and support, I know I can count on you!

  • @offspringrocks08 The backups are stored in clockworkmod/backup on your SD card...delete them as you wish from there. Thanks for watching and be sure to subscribe!

  • thx so much

  • Do u know how to root the Motorola triumph...nd if u can is safe???

  • @kronic760 I see no reason why it wouldn't be safe. Here is a link to the video guide: youtube (dot) com /watch?v=cQ0OzEHwOTE

  • for some reason my wont reboot wmen i press reboot now ???

  • @kronic760 What version of ClockWorkMod are you installing? Also, are you pressing the power button to make the selection, or the menu soft button? Depending on the version of ClockWorkMod you have installed, it will be either the power button or the soft menu button to make a selection. Let me know if that helps!

  • Mine appears as an error sign with an android what did I do wrong

  • @MotorolaTriumphUser Not quite sure what you mean. Is it booting into that, or does that happen when you press the power button within CWM? A video response would be the most helpful in getting to the bottom of your issue.

  • @minus5252 try pressing home button. at that menu

  • @MotorolaTriumphUser yeah I'm having the same problem.

  • what is the reason we should have a full charge before doing this? o_O

  • @Echorris Because you would have issues if your battery died in the middle of this process. It is just a recommendation, not a requirement, but it is much safer that way.

  • how would I do the usb portion of the process on a mac?

  • @jocelynbri Sorry mate, I don't use Macs for a reason. I'd find someone with a PC you can use, but if you find the answer for a Mac, please post it back here so others can use it.

  • when i hold down the volume and power button a triangle with an yellow exclamation point pops up with the android guy next to it. I want the gingerbread 2.3! is there an easier way for me to get it?

  • @dongnguyen251 Are you sure you are holding the correct volume button? Also, try it without the data cable connected initially.

  • umm, i don't have a image folder

  • @ronandmelissa Can you elaborate on that, or better yet, post a video response so we can see the problem?

  • Guide works perfectly. Did it on my first try right alongside him. +1

  • @FSTK Thanks! Please join us on the forums at MotorolaTriumphhacks (dot) com!

  • Yup, I did know, but thanks for the heads up anyway!

  • Hi do you know that there are TWO custom roms for this phone as speak. They're both made by Isaacj87. They're both Gingerbread roms. They both might even be be CyanogenMod 7 Isaacj87 is waiting for Motorola to release the source code for the TRIUMPH! He has done a fantastic job so far with what little he has to work with.

  • Have you successfully made a nandroid bebop

  • @bb6h22lude4 Absolutely, works just fine.

  • So after this is done I can I now do a backup?

  • do u have to be rooted for this to work cuz i need to restore my phone and its not rooted i cant access the settings or anything

  • Tks for the link

  • can you upload a back up of the recovery img cuz i didnt back it up

  • @GreenNati0n You can still make it at any time. Just boot with Power+volume down again and plug in your usb

  • @GreenNati0n I added a link for the stock recovery in the video's description.

  • Should my backup be okay then because I did selected the Boot into Recovery option and created a backup to my SD card? Your video didn't show the listed statements I got so did you not have ROM Manager installed at the time you installed CWM?

    Thanks again for your video!

  • @marathondon11 As long as you used CWM to create the backup, you should be good. No, I didn't have Rom Manager installed when I initially installed CWM.

  • I followed your video and everything worked perfectly but I got something a little different on my screen below ROM Manager icon following power up. It appeared as follows:

    ClockworkMod Recovery v4.0.0.9

    E:Can't mount /cache/recovery/command

    E:Can't mount /cache/recovery/log

    E:Can't open /cache/recovery/log

    ECan't mount /cache/recovery/last_log

    E:Can't open /cache/recovery/last_log

  • @marathondon11 ROM Manager Isn't really compatible with the Triumph yet, except for the "Boot into Recovery" option.

  • Has anyone been able to make a stock backup or stock rom?

  • is there a custom rom for the Triumph yet?

  • @PAUmerica Not yet, no ETA at this point, but be patient. They'll come when they come.

  • Optimus V has a great version of CM7 called aospCmod that is current to 2.3.4, it runs great and the only thing that isn't quite right is the Bluetooth headset capability.

  • @soldusdave I've been using a Nook Color up until now, but I;ve found this handles everything I need and am selling my Nook Color soon (I'll miss her). Haven't ever used an Optimus V, but they seem to have similar specs to a Nook Color (except for the obvious size and keyboard differences). CM7 is BEYOND awesome on the Nook Color, so I know what you mean.

  • It means we will have 2.3 soon, but not yet. As for the optimus, I have no idea, I haven't used that phone

  • Is it possible to install the CWM recovery image onto the Optimus V using the "drag and drop" method?

  • Does this mean we can install android 2.3 on our triumph?

  • @austnash Not yet, but it is one of the major steps...it will be soon. Can't wait for CyanogenMod 7 (CM7) and/or MUIU!
