It doenst dwnload on my triumph also wats the thinq u copu from urcomputer to the triumph? ive been tryinq for weeks n no success i might as well just give up
No, I got it worked out. I wiped everything from my sd card and started from scratch. The issue was with the UMPH kernel, and not with cwm. I have since updated from the 4.something version I had, to the 5.0.2.6 version, and am trying to install the 1/26/12 edition of cyanogenmod7. I wiped everything from my phone again, but it still says I need 46mb more space.... i only have the stock 2 gb sd card from the triump, but I removed all apps, and did factory reset, so I don't get why I have no room
I got the cwm installed, and I put a kernel on my phone that is supposed to allow overclocking of the phone's cpu, as the phone is quite laggy. I followed all directions to the letter.. the kernel is called UMPH... I'm pretty bumed out right now haha. I did a data wipe/factory restore, and tried to reboot the phone, and nothing changed. still either freezing on the M screen, or just loops itself in a restart...over and over and over...
@killbosby What ROM did you have installed...UMPH isn't compatible with all ROMs. Go to my channel and look for the latest CM7 Reloaded ROM and install JSUT that, no overclock kernel or anything. See how that does.
@killbosby Are you still having issues? I have a family member in the hospital, so can't help much right now. Go to motorolatriumphhacks (dot) com and ask there if you are still having issues. Sorry I can;t be more help right now!
@killbosby What did you do right before that started...last I knew you said it was working. Don't worry, we'll get this figured out, but ALWAYS post as much relevant info when you need help.
So... I am not really what I did, but clearly did something wrong... I followed the video EXACTLY, after watching it like... 6 times. When I started it back up holding the volume up and down and the power key, it shows me an exclamation mark and a little android guy.... Is my phone screwed now?
I have a motorola triumph and just to let you know, your channel has been infinitely helpful with installing Tinkerguy's CM7 A0.8 and it has made my phone very enjoyable even though I do have some annoying bugs since it is an engineering model.
@jacksonguitarman Thanks! By the way, you should go to my channel and check out the CM7 Reloaded ROMs...they're way better than what you are currently running! WAY BETTER!
@minus5252 Better than A0.8? I will definitely give it a look. The first day I installed A0.8 many apps forced closed on me and the gps didn't work. I ended up turning it off overnight and the next day everything was smooth as butter with no force closes!
@hitmentip7979 Awesome, but a bit of advice, you should go to my channel and look for "clockworkmod 5.0.2.6" and install that, as it is a newer version.
@BSchorr Lol...you actually need to install the newest version of clockworkmod (go to my channel and search for 5.0.2.6), then you can install CyanogenMod 7, a Gingerbread ROM for the Triumph that will make the phone perform a LOT better. To find the guide for CyanogenMod 7 (CM7) go to my channel and search for "Beta 7" for the latest release.
@1klitchy1 80% is fine. It is just a precaution so that people don't try this with an 8$ battery or something. Thanks for watching and don't forget to subscribe!
I can't find the nandroid back up when I'm in clockmod setting thing...I have it downloaded and all..just wont show up even when I choose restore..do u know how I can fix this???
@minus5252 no i didnt..but i can only find it when i connect it to the computer, and its on the root of the sd card.when i download the nandroid back up am i supposed to unzipp it.ohh yea when im in clockmod recovery and try to go to the download folder it sends me back to the main menue... :(

@minus5252 I'll say thank you when I'm done. Which I just finished. Thanks. I'm more annoyed at these download services than yourself. Yo I got a question.. is there anyway you can delete nandroid back ups, such as in clockwork mod recovery v. 5.0.2.6? Can you make a video on this or tell me how to do this or if this is possible? Thanks I appreciate all your videos and your help and support, I know I can count on you!
@offspringrocks08 The backups are stored in clockworkmod/backup on your SD card...delete them as you wish from there. Thanks for watching and be sure to subscribe!
@kronic760 What version of ClockWorkMod are you installing? Also, are you pressing the power button to make the selection, or the menu soft button? Depending on the version of ClockWorkMod you have installed, it will be either the power button or the soft menu button to make a selection. Let me know if that helps!
@MotorolaTriumphUser Not quite sure what you mean. Is it booting into that, or does that happen when you press the power button within CWM? A video response would be the most helpful in getting to the bottom of your issue.
@Echorris Because you would have issues if your battery died in the middle of this process. It is just a recommendation, not a requirement, but it is much safer that way.
@jocelynbri Sorry mate, I don't use Macs for a reason. I'd find someone with a PC you can use, but if you find the answer for a Mac, please post it back here so others can use it.
when i hold down the volume and power button a triangle with an yellow exclamation point pops up with the android guy next to it. I want the gingerbread 2.3! is there an easier way for me to get it?

@marathondon11 As long as you used CWM to create the backup, you should be good. No, I didn't have Rom Manager installed when I initially installed CWM.
I followed your video and everything worked perfectly but I got something a little different on my screen below ROM Manager icon following power up. It appeared as follows:
Optimus V has a great version of CM7 called aospCmod that is current to 2.3.4, it runs great and the only thing that isn't quite right is the Bluetooth headset capability.
@soldusdave I've been using a Nook Color up until now, but I;ve found this handles everything I need and am selling my Nook Color soon (I'll miss her).
