@esmebxtch I would avoid bleach. It's hazardous to your skin, even if it's colorsafe. Never tried either. I could always pick up a tester beater pair to try.

Hey optimus, I'm doing this exact same process with the same bottle of RIT in this video as we speak. How long until I see the results? Will it whiten up within a couple hours, tommorow morning, a week from now? Let me know I'm doing this on a pair of DS Concords from 2000 that have some yellowing on the mesh. Thanks.

@vaddy23 Took me a few sessions to get some results. You also gotta let the fabric to dry. That's what I did before I repeated the process.

@TheRicepicker23 The white part on the midsole? Very easy some basic dish soap and a brush should do the trick. If not you always have Mr. Clean's Magic eraser.

@dunkboy14 the netting you mean? The netting I don't know. The midsole you can use some retrobrite. That should help take the yellowing out. I would ask restoremysneakers and find out from them in regards to possibly whitening the netting on the 4s.

@titanmedic23 Did you buy the liquid version? I would avoid the powder version at any cost. The liquid version does show a slight hue of yellow, but when you mix it with hot water it kind of goes away.

I run a restoration business so 2 tips instead of a towel use the sham-wow YES SHAM-WOW do I really need to explain y haha and 2 u can use that specific rit product on every piece or section of any shoe any color any material except suede nubuck or ur more rare stuff not seen on kicks normal like animal material but it will clean and brighten all colors and most material but still use ur head u won't use it on raptor vii's or cg xi's or Griffey 2 freshwaters ie suede or w/suede shoes

@Barricade17 It will defiinitely help clean it up. Laces you'll have to search online, but I know you can buy something very similiar to them somewhere, but don't remember name off top of my head.

There is a restorer I'm following, but he won't revewl any of his secret to his restoration techniques.

@trifecta019 There's no need to wait, you just keep brushing it until you feel it's good enough for you. Just got to remember when it's wet it doesn't show the true result cause you'll see a little bit of yellowing from the yellow foam material.

@michael13374 blood?wtf i use RESOLVE on my mesh shoes and it works awesome you should try it ,but be carefull that the resolve doesnt get on any color that isnt white or it will fade and can even stick on to the white,if that happens youl see th other color on the white when its dry and to fix it you must aplly resolve on the white to get the other color off

@RyanAblan21 You can try on rubber midsoles, but I don't believe it will work since it's for fabrics. You don't want to use color remover in case you get it inside your sock liner. You'll want the Whitener & Brightener.

@optimusp517 Ya I have the same type of question as RSF17. I bought a pair of sample Nike Air Force STAT's, but since they're a bit old. I have 3 different questions for 3 different parts of my shoe. The full grain leather part is a bit darker for white leather, and the fabric around the collar is a bit stained. Finally, is there anyway to clean the nubuck part of the shoe or is that out of the question because I know water will make it deform?

1. Leather part I would try cleaning them with maybe some dish soap and warm water. Use a small toothbrush to scrub. It's gentle but small enough to give you precision.

2. The collar area I would just do the same thing. I used some dish soap and warm water to scrub out old usage/dirty stains on a pair of shoe and that took care of it.

3. Check out my nubuck/suede cleaning video of the Cool Grey XI. You can definitely clean them up without any issue.

i couldn't find the same bottle of Rit you bought, I bought one that says Rit Laundry Treatment Whitener & Brightener. It's not the green & purple bottle you have, instead it's all white. Do you think the one i have would work? It also says Brightener for Dingy White and Colored Fabrics on the bottle, idk if they will have a weird affect on it. I bought it at Vons btw.

@RSF17 Is it just dirty from dirt? You should be able to clean it off with some soap and warm water. If it's really bad I'd give Mr. Clean Magic Eraser a shot, but you have to be gentle cause it's heavy duty!

im still kinda confused with the rit, you put the rit on the shoe and scrub it in then you use a mix of hot water and laundrey powder and go over the rit and let them air dry

@babyoilnhand 3 cups of hot water. One for RIT, one for detergent/dish soap, and one just for rinsing the stuff out at the end.

Toothbrush dip into RIT and brush onto the mesh back and forth. Do it about 3 times.

Take cup #2 and dip toothbrush in it and brush on same area you did.

Take cup #3 and dip toothbrush into it and brush the same area.

Take cloth and dap and soak up the water.

Let it dry overnight.
