could someone explain to me the logic of including yami in tatsunoke vs capcom, go as far as to using the original track from okami, but not even include ammy herself, but wait a few months to put her against marvel instead, and not even use yami as anything in that game?

Well I dont know much about the game, neither the character and his series (not Yami the other Lightan) but, its really easy to defeat Yami with a giant? also why he is alone? where is the other character (the game let you select 2 characters or are exceptions?)

Wtf I cant block fast enough as lightan

I punch or kick or whatever and then pull back on the stick anticipating Yami's attack but IT NEVER WORKS. So basically we're just exchanging hits as I hope my metre doesn't run down faster than his.

It doesn't sound like you are using Baroque. (Partner+Attack)

It cancels attack animation so you can block faster. Though you need to have some red in you life bar in order to do it.

Like the earlier post said, he is the second Capcom character you unlock after Frank West.

With a Capcom character (Or team), clear arcade mode about 3 more times after unlocking Frank, and you should get Zero.

Tatsunoko vs capcom is not coming out to other consoles as many interviews with the producer Niitsuma-san asked about it and he replies that the game is made specifically for the wii to max out its compatabilities. If they were to port it to PS3/360, they would have to remake pretty much all the 3d sprites to make it look good on those consoles.

Good performance on defeating Yami with Gold Lightan (or Silver really). I managed to defeat him with PTX-40A, but never managed to beat him with Lightan, and nice strategy too, I think I'll use it next time I fight Yami.

Grabs do not work on him sadly, and I don't believe counters do either.

This video is quite old, by a few weeks after I understood the gameplay a bit more so yes the Advanced Guard is worth using. Especially for moves like the hand laser on 2:36, or any other projectile move of Yami's.

Its just footage of a Japanese game, I don't exactly understand how it gives out a "vibe".

The game itself features old school Japanese cartoon superheroes from Tatsunoko. (Kind of a tribute, also Capcom characters are included, its a VS)

As for this video, Gold Lightan is my favorite character in the game, and the only reason why I showed him destroying the Lost Planet robot is because I hate its design. :P

I suppose its just ironic, but not meant to be "stereotypical" or to stir trouble.

I just used Yattaman and ran over Yami's ass with the Yattawan super, then on the 3rd stage, I just called out Karas to finish him off in the end.

I don't like Karas so it made it easy for me to not use him honestly.

Another way i tried was to Jump and do medium, medium. The landing cancels any animation, letting you block right after the attack.

Rinse and repeat.

But yes the 3rd form can be a pain, especially because of that grab super. :^(

That being said, Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom is a fighting game, a new crossover not too different from the Marvel Vs. Capcom games.

Gold Lightan is a character from an old anime made by Tatsunoko Productions, Yami is from Okami, a Capcom game.

This is a Japanese only game for the Wii.

Tatsunoko is an anime production company that's been around since the 70's (or possibly even earlier). They've been responsible for hundreds of shows since their debut, but they're only famously known overseas; over here in English speaking countries the only things we know from them are Speed Racer, Macross and Samurai Pizza Cats. It's pretty niche anime stuff if you're not from overseas.

In those crazy Vs. crossovers anything is possible (Jill from Resident Evil was in MVC2 for example.)

Its not a playable character though, just a boss.
