I love the way Tony tells his side of the story. He's so cool. Can you imagine someone like him witnessing the rise of one of the greatest rock bands of all time? He is particularly cool due to the fact he didn't have an ego problem and didn't try to hold Michael Anthony back, but instead promoted him. So cool to hear Tony talk about the good ol' days through his eyes while remaining humble and enthusiastic at the same time about Mike and their success. Tony is a stand up guy for sure!!

Well saw vanhalen back in 81. saw kiss with cheaptrick and I thought cheap trick was better. I understand why kiss has the fireworks and explosions and dress like clowns because their music was bad. Gene knew Van Halen had more talent than kiss so he was puzzled why management could not see it.

@BobReidy According to a friend of mine with his own band, the drummer is the guy the girls are most interested in. Why do you think the Beatles kept Ringo Starr? Ringo was ugly and wasn't very talented as a drummer. They had to redo his drumming parts sometimes in the studio, but they kept Ringo, because he was so ugly the girls thought he was cute. Ringo appealed to girls, which's why they kept him on. Don't ask me to explain why girls loved Ringo so much, cause I haven't got a clue. o_0
