@MrShriepshroepshrap they didn't want to make it too quick (so it wouldnt be quicker than an M3 etc) You can easily flash (chiptune) it up to over 400 bhp. And with the 340 hp setup, it still is a lot more efficient with the power output range and fuel consumption etc.

@Mpower77i It`s not nostalgic or whatever, it`s simply the time connected with it, the style it represents, the way it is made and a lot of other things. The M1 is just a nice BMW car, but a lot of plastic and steel, nothing else. You must have owned one to understand it. And better if you had the opportunity to own a BMW, Mercedes and Audi to get a feeling for what it represents. Not be able to drive them, own them. And bottom line, the 1 series uses the e46 3er series engines, what about that?
