it's a sillhouette of the bird, so identifying it exactly would be kind of difficult as you could imagine. The lens on the camera is a wide angle lens, it's curved, so when something goes from one side to the other, it appears to be going much farther and faster than it is. Check any skateboarding video. I'm just interested in the truth, and right now, it is that this is a video of a bird, not a flying saucer, to my disappointment.

First I thought that was an UFO but after watching a few times i could see the wings of the Bird.

If it were a bird, why would it be that large and in front of the Washington Monument? In relation to the size and the size of the people, any bird in that area would be tiny, hardly visible except as a dark dot. This thing was huge, I'd say at least 35 feet long. And flying that fast into the distance? I'm sorry, but we have no birds that are 35 feet long that inhabit the D.C. area. Also, analysis shows that the item has no wings, no motion up/down, and was definitely disc shaped.

But you can tell that there is a special lense being used.

A wide angle lense, that very well would explain its apparent great speed.

also if the bird flies closer to the camera at first, then flies away from it, combined with the lense, could deff. give that effect

I saw the video attachment. Sorry I'm not convinced. It shows SOMETHING in motion and I agree it does look like a bird but I just can't think of what kind of bird could fly that fast.

Judging from the people, and it does appear to be behind the Washington Monument, I would estimate it has travelled a distance of a football pitch in a single frame.

A football pitch is about 100 yards, a frame is 1/24th of a second. Therefore it must be travelling at 2,400 yards per second, well in excess of a mile per second.

Whatever it is, it isn't a bird. Even assuming a gale force wind behind it, it is still unfeasibly fast.

And it is a very expensive WIDE ANGLE camera lense, adding a deep depth of field.

a bug would only be visible if it was close to the camera and the camera was on a REALLY REALLY wide angle. and as you can see it is on a long angle shot, so anything within 10 meters would be out of focus and a bug certainly wouldn't be visible. also bugs often fly around in unpredictable ways and not in perfectly straight lines at tremendous speed. im saying its ET, but its something that should be taken seriously

Aint NO bird flying that fast!!!! That thing was going THOUSANDS of miles an hour...Think about how slow planes look when they're flying in the sky......Also if you look at the size of the object compared to the monument...that's a pretty big object...so it cant be a bird or a bug

I think this is easy to work out, one of the biggest days in history and theres an UFO on camera, i think there was realy nothing, but this is the way the government are trying to tell the people the truith, by using special effects on there own footage, because the way the goverment control us is by the media. I won't deny that it's sort of spooky, but after watching some slow motion clips, I don't think it's a UFO. As it passes the Washington Monument, you can see that it appears to be zoom in front of the monument, rather than behind. Like it's between the camera and the monument. If it were a UFO, it would have been really close to the crowd, and I think they would have known it. It's too fast to be a bird. Maybe something was wrong withthe camera.
