First, you must understand that we are in 130 counties maintaining bases in foreign countries that can provide their own defense. This establishment policy has been implemented to exert America’s force over the world in this empire that benefits no one except a select (but very powerful few) and is bankrupting America.
This foreign policy was sold to America throughout the years beginning after WWII and most recently through the attacks on 9/11 are used as an example that we must be at war with the world constantly to defend ourselves. However, when you understand the real reasons that we were attacked on 9/11 has nothing to do with any inherent hate of America or the freedoms we enjoy.
If that was the case, we really would have to be on constant defense; but to blindly believe that is the real reason for terrorist attacks is complete ignorance to human psychology (and yes, even Muslims have that – Muslims really believe in the 40 virgins story). We were attacked on 9/11 because of our foreign influence and occupation over Islamic nations that they view as wrong and manipulating.
(Most Neo- Conservatives think that addressing, considering or acknowledging their motivations is somehow justifying them – which is totally incorrect. Even Sun Szu stated that you defeat an enemy if unless you correctly understand their motivations… but I digress.)
When we consider their motivations, and look at our current foreign policy, its easy to realize that it doesn’t offer any benefit to America and policy should be changed. It does now serve American citizens policing the world. All it does is costs military lives and is a complete drain on our economy. If we brought our troops home to defend this country, it would one drastically decrease any motivation to attack America, AND better protect this countries borders with a military at home.
(Not to mention, we invaded Afghanistan simply because before they joined us in the apprehension of Osama they asked for the evidence that linked Osama Bin Laden to the 9/11 attacks, that was promised by Colon Powell to the UN a few days after 9/11. We believed was within their boarders and quickly discontinued all talked and invaded their country and we are still fighting a war in Afghanistan-
even though Osama Bin laden is dead- against the Taliban, who had nothing to do with Al Qaeda or the 9/11 attacks, and still fighting back because they view us a foreign invaders to their country.)
Ron Paul is the only candidate who is honest with the American public, who will end this insane foreign policy and thus will actually better protect America. Ron Paul is exactly right about foreign policy and even though what he says is much different than the typical political rhetoric we are force fed.
This election is, ‘We The People VS The Establishment’. I hope America can think past the pandering, fake differences, and very different rhetoric that the other GOP candidates and Obama maintain, and look at their actions, and realize that in reality they stand for and all want to continue the same failed policies that is crippling America.

The terms "big govt." and "small govt." are misleading because what we really need is an EFFECTIVE govt. that enforces the law of the land, the Constitution.
