My six year old sister has ED. Shes afraid of doctors and gets made fun of all the time for her teeth. shes going to the first grade and says shes ugly because she has alligator teeth.. we were lucky that it only affected her teeth and i feel great sypathy and empathy for lucy and luke and other kids with ED that it has effected more than the teeth.. <3

hey, i've got ED aswell. i used to get bullied because of it. but since im only 13 they wont give me implants till im 21. i have the teeth problem,hair problem,nails and my skin gets effected. i cant sweat lol, friends think its cool not to sweat, i dont get B.O. when i got bullied because of it i was only about 7-9 but i still kiked the $%*&£! heads in. we are just normal people with a disability. BTW they are brave for making this vid

Thanks for you input. You are right that we are just normal people. It would be great if the medical insurance companies all over the States treated us that way. we are off to Washington DC later this month to see if we can convince lawmakers to make medical insurance companies do the right thing. We are meeting with some Congressman and Senators and are being shown around the Whitehouse. We hope we can help other kids with our disability.

i have had dental work and dental implants. insurance covered all that for me. check out my videos about it. pleasee and thank you =]

I cant believe the state of medical care over there. I'm from Australia and was diagnosed with ED in about 1978.... I've had extensive dental work done and have never paid a cent.

Hang in there, it does get more manageable as you get older and I believe it makes us better people.

Thanks for your kind support. We are hoping to convince MA lawmakers to make sure that the medical insurance companies in MA help these kids with their oral problems. It is amazing that, with all the economic might of the USA, the American health system can still leave kids like this by the wayside. Since posting this video, Lucy and Luke have been invited to a conference in Washington DC and we hope to meet some people there who may be able to help their cause. Luke and Lucy's dad (6-16-09).

i love in iowa. also effected by ED. iv had alot of dental work also done. didnt pay for hardly any of it.
