He felt like he was going to be rejected, so he covered it up with: ''Yeah, I was going to get a free ice cream if I asked you.'' (One friend promised him ice cream...) The girl who was asked thougth it was a stupid way to get asked, and said no. I feel bad for him though, it sounded like he didn't care, when he was madly in love with her.
