@PigsyCyberBully Some misunderstandings there. They don't have the powers to climb in through a window, or open an unlocked door, but will often claim that they do so that the person will back down and allow them in. They take advantage of the fact that most people don't know the specifics of the relevant laws.
There's also no need to press charges in an incident like this. It was witnessed by the Police, and a complaint was made, so the Police should be acting out of duty.
