After reading the L. Lehmann´s book on the art of singing several years ago I wanted to hear this very much. And it is really beautiful! Though now I can say I like the Emmy Destinn´s recording of this still more.
This exists only as a single test-pressing at Yale, and I used it in my Marston CD set of the Vienna Court Opera during the Mahler years. One of the reasons it remained unpublished is that Mme. Lehmann refused to be rushed by the conductor, Dr. Kark, and the recording (lasting over five minutes!) runs almost up to the spindle hole! Even with it's recording defects, it remains one of the great interpretations of all time.
