I need help, I'm trying to use my MS4D to add text to my image. It worked fine of the first section but now when I insert text it doesn't appear unless uncheck View Page Image on character settings. My Text/BG color is set to black/transparent so why is my text acting transparent?!

Hello, I´m sorry man, but this is Comic Studio EX 4, is a japanese version for Manga Studio EX 4, if u have the english version go to Filter/Distort, and you will find 7 Distort Tools. More people ask me why I didn´t a tutorial video about all this soft. Is only a fast preview about the features to the 4th version, for present in Forums like ContentParadise.

Man, is depend what do you want.

Comic Studio in draw technics has many things and in my only opinion has more advantages than Photoshop, like vector tools, brush technics and also if you have

3D knowledges you can convert your Objects in 2D or also convert a photo like an Illustration.

Photoshop is always worth learning but I'd stick to Manga Studio if you just want to draw. Speech bubbles and such aren't as easily and quickly done as in MS or other comic apps.

Gimp is an open source programm that tries to be like Photoshop but it will take a few years till it's that useful. Manga Studio is for comics, mostly Mangas, offering things you don't need when you're retouching photos.

You should not compare apples with pears... I do love Photoshop, but the fact that you can rotate your canvas by drawing makes it in the meantime my favorite sketch tool.

Guess what! Comic Studio 4 is coming to the U.S. as Manga Studio 4; unfortunately, it's only for Windows, both the Japanese and the planned English versions.

Yeah but we don't want to wait. lol I got it, I read some Japanese, so trying to go through and figure it out. All and all so far it's not hugely different from 3.0. But I'm sure there's a lot I'm missing.

If Comic Studio is not displaying proper Japanese,you can set XP for it to do so.

Here's how: Control Panel > Regional and Language Options > Advanced Tab

Select Japanese from the drop-down menu, reboot.

Caution: if you update/install other software,

set it back to English or you may get an updater in Japanese (such as Google Earth)
