While less than a week ago, the current heat index in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, is 100 degrees F. The prisoners in solitary confinement at the federal penitentiary are not sheltered from the heat. The prisoners have to sleep on the floor at night to get some semblance of relief.

We received word today that Leonard now has to share his very small isolation cell with another prisoner. We're told that the cell next to Leonard's cell is currently occupied by three prisoners!

Solitary Confinement is Torture! A minimum of 20,000 prisoners are in solitary at any given time in the United States. Devasting effects begin to develop as soon as seven days in isolation. In 2002, a California prison psychiatrist told Human Rights Watch: "It's a standard psychiatric concept, if you put people in isolation, they will go insane... Most people in isolation will fall apart."

Ma perchè vogliono ucciderlo?Non conosco i veri motivi perchè quest'uomo vogliono condannarlo a morte ma essendo la persona in questione un indiano la cosa mi puzza di razzismo bello e buono.E si anche nei democraticissimi States è facile incorrere ancora in episodi del genere...spero vivamente che alla fine non si sopprima la vita di un innocente,anche se nessuno potra' ripagare mai tutti quegli anni che si è fatto in prigione,praticamente è come se volessero ucciderlo 2 volte

They have my phone on a block I think. I called Thomas Kane number. I got a lady today who told me to contact someone more important. I was shocked!!! She said Congress is their boss & that the Dept. of Corrections is the reason LP has had all the problems he has had. She said they won't do anything different. Call Congressman & try to get as many of them to put pressure on Corrections Dept. Since Congress is their boss they will listen. Surprising comment & I was greatful for her candor.

I am concerned when I saw that he is not getting air conditioning. I suffer from many of his ailments and the heat makes me deteriorate. I passed out and spent an afternoon in a temporary ER tent at a tractor show. The lead story this past week was about 100 cows who died standing in the heat. The fire department came in and hosed the others down to save them. Why is a human NOT given the same treatment as a herd of cows??? I get hung up on at Lewisburg & DC lies to me. Where can I go? Thanks.
