I know right. People hate on Sephiroth but i've played every FF and still think he is the most badass next to cloud for obvious reasons. Genesis thought he was standing toe-to-toe but Sephiroth was merely playing with him.

@OrgodemirDQ7 Sephiroth got lucky in that fight though. at 2:20 When Genesis does that fire attack he's stalling for time. Then at 2:35 the glowing thing in his hand is an Ifirit Summon. and Ifirit in the hands of Genesis has enough power to destroy the world. Which is what Angeal meant when he said "Stop. You'll destroy us all."

If you think about it its actually pretty bad that sephiroth found out who he was and how he was created the way he did. Maybe if he wouldn't have found out he would have been the hero they all hoped he would be. But I guess once he found out how he was made he felt like a abomination with the urge to kill all and start over fresh. And honestly in Advent Children they needed the hero to win but if it played out like real life then sephiroth would have kicked zach's ass easily.
