I kinda have to disagree abit with what your saying about recon. If there spotting alot I think it's very helpful to the rest of the team cause that is what a recon class does. Now for just the pure shooter and doesn't spot doesn't use mortars on a flag that your team is taking then yea I could see why you think there useless. I usually play what the team needs or what i feel like playing, but i'm always helpful to my team even if a medic dies i'll switch gear to revive em.

dont completely hate the recon class i know the majority are no good camping scumbags but they do serve a vital function. It makes it a hell of a lot easier to play when you know there are enemies in the area and heavy armour and air cover has been identified, plus the recon class can be very good when it comes to defending objectives if your in the right spot.

I think they did, yes you get some kill whores who pick up a spot and snipe their the whole game, but you also get people like me who take an area, we often partner up with an assault class, ping a few motion detectors, drop a few motor strikes. We do plenty, people who pick up the assault class and go for kills alone, I see more of those then the sniping bitches.

Oh my lord. Everyone I play with on the console version of this game is the exact kind of drooling troglidyte that I left Call of Duty and Counter-Strike to get away from. Everyone on my team runs around like ADD retards and dies, then they all go Recon and continue to die, whilst I am the only fucker on my team who- gasp- plays Medic and tries to help others. This even happens when I'm playing in a squad of my friends.
TBH, I hardly snipe but I think Snipers on Hardcore Rush are very Irritating and tbh I think they control how the game is played(especially when Attacking). if there's some effective sniper fire going on you would notice that d people on the receiving end would chose not to go to that certain area where they could shoot incoming enemies and also, the team's movement is constantly disrupted. they would just stay back out of harms way and this provides the the sniper's team an advantage.
Sniper rifles suck in this game, never 1 shot, 1 kill expect headshot. Try to hit HS from 1km away. Lol, assault rifles are better, just fire burst or single.

@Sixbak It depends, sometimes you will kill them with 1 shot to the torso but most of the time, you won't (Unless they are already damaged). It used to be one shot one kill for bolt action rifles (With Magnum Ammo) in non hardcore but they updated the game some time ago, they made the Damage lower for a lot of guns including the bolt action rifles & this was enough to get rid of the 1 shot kill with bolt action sniper rifles. Anyway, Hardcore is much better for sniping,1-shot-kill & no Kill Cam.
Snipers who aim for kills suck. Recons who aim to try and spot enemies to give constant information on the enemy locations whilest taking out key targets like Heavy MG's and Snipers, bombarding enemy groups with mortar strikes, and planting C4 can be a good addition for any team. Personally, if that wookie in the bush is shoving a ton of red triangles over enemy heads. I'm happy.

I assume that you might don't know that "camping" with a sniper rifle is actually called "sniping"... that being said, you can't expect a guy with a sniper rifle to run around the map like crazy like you do since he can shoot 1 round every like 2 seconds because of the bolt action... aaaaanyway I'll let you enjoy these ephemeral moments of joy and eventually take you out WITH A SNIPER RIFLE if I ever meet you in a game... When i snipe you can always see me moving with my squad to hit the objectives. If the objective is heavily or well defended then i snipe a couple of people maybe call in a mortar strike. If its not heavily defended then i switch out to my pistol and go Rambo on the mother fuckers. I do hate when people camp/snipe or when every fucking person is a sniper. I use the engineer more though just cause sometimes the only thing that can fix the problem is a rocket up the ass.
What I do on BFBC2, I snipe like a mother fucker. And then, if I see my team-mates cannot arm the bomb within 6-10 minutes, I do it in a matter of seconds and get the objective done. (I'm really good at arming the bombs in Rush). Oh and I don't snipe on BFBC2 to boost my K/D ratio; I do it because, IMO, its the most fun thing to do on BFBC2. In all honesty, K/D ratio doesn't mean shit.

I also a lot of the times on some maps will use the sniper, but with my trusty G3 or a shotgun and get right in the mix of close combat, use the other tools of recon.

I always go recon on BC but these guys REALLY are like a disease. They think they are god's gift with snipers, shooting everything that moves, not palying the game.
I admit, I am rather "good" with a sniper, but I dont sit there in the bushes for hours on end shooting, not only does it give away position, it gets boring. SO I get my pistol ready and an assault rifle and go to the battlefield. Not hard. Camping pricks. Another thing I hate: campers that sit in tanks through the entire game. >:|

well.. I mainly play as a recon, ok.. I camp sometimes, I shoot people off some high place, but I also blow up their tanks, choppers etc. I spot enemies for team mates,.. and capture points on conquer game mode.. so don't you tell me that all the recons just shoot and camp without helping their team ;/
the problem with snipers is that no one actually recons like they are supposed to. the recon mans job is to point out enemy targets so their teammates know where to engage them. but like i said, no one spots anymore
@T16Akatsuki I use the recon class a lot but i usually play rush. i stoill spot and im usually the guy in the squad that sneaks around behind or to the side of the enemy team and my teammates spawn on me. I will say though if we start to lose i will switch classes and do my best to help the team
I don't think you know how much a Sniper helps they team out. They can mark enemies for their squad mates and they can take out enemies from a far distance. Plus its UMP it stands for Universal Machine Pistol not Ump. You Dumb Shit

@TheEAIBProductions Snipers do help but when you have 25% of a team doing the job that really only one or two should be you have issues. (i have played this map against an entire team doing this) from their vantage point it is too easy for a team to take and hold all the objectives without entering the LOS of the snipers. Sniping has its uses but to JUST snipe actually hinders a team.
I can see why Sniping while playing conquest would make the sniping team lose but the Recon Class is very helpful in Rush because the can spot enemies coming to defuse the M-COM Station and they can stop them before they get there and they can defend the M-COM Station from far away attackers so ya... The Sniper is a very reliable Teammate.
i see where you're coming from and snipers annoy me too when they just sit in one spot the whole game, but when i play with a whole group of my friends we usually have 2-5 snipers who spot people, counter sniper their snipers, guard flags, and take care of tanks when the engineers are busy and we do very well with that game plan.
if you guys like sniping, go into rush and watch the mcom station and blow the head off of anybody who gets near it, or shoot helicopter pilots or something. That's what I do whenever I snipe, and it sometimes works very well.
I use all classes, i'm a brigadier general grade 3, and sometimes i just feel like sniping. Sniping can be very productive if you're good at it and know the spots. Last game, rush, laguna presa, defenders I got 6782 score just by staying far away and sniping everyone going to plant bombs. Our team eventually won on the last stand.
I snipe everyday, I am not bragging but I am lvl 27 and have unlocked everything but the MG3 on the Medic Class, which is indeed the last thing in the class till it gets maxed. My favorite Sniper rifle is non other than the newbie SV-98.....Not very many people use this because people believe that it sucks, you just need Magnum ammo and you get lots of head-shots. Any one that wants to play with me, I am on the PS3 and my Gamer-tag is xXDEATH3EAT3RXx DOESshotguns has a valid point.
i love harassing snipers on my team. like today i kept on harassing one and he started to curse like crazy at me. useless class, no help rarely and they stay far away from the action.
I use the sniper and try my best to plant the bomb in rush and i got like 24 kills in SQ DM yesterday. When i plant the bomb, i put C4 on it, and watch it from the bushes with my sniper. Whenever someone plants the bomb, i protect it by sniping whoever is there.
@NotxMustard yea i dont mind those who actually are on the fron lines. i mean i hate the ones who are all the way at the back and i hate when my whole squad are snipers.
I like sniping and all, when its tactical and helping. Or when they actually get some balls and get behind enemy lines and do some damage, but when snipers sit and cower at the back whilst their team mates take the beating on the frontline it gets beyond annoying. I understand your point. However I think there are too many bi-itches that hate being sniped so they act like snipers don't help the team when in fact they spot & kill. A good Sniper keeps moving and spots/kills as many enemies as possible. Good Snipers even move in and take over an area after helping decimate an enemy team in that area. Sniping is one of Bad Company 2's greatest features. It is the best game for sniping I have ever seen and is fun :D

Sniping is equally as important as front line assault. Yes I agree on objective type games like here it is pointless but is extremely vital to winning a battle. Someone has to recon and mark target. And let us not forget the some of the greatest battles in history have been won by snipers.

Most of the time when I play recon, I use my M95, however, I don't have the patience to camp either so I spend most of my time taking flags and chucking motion sensors at enemy flags, and I also use the spotting scope so I can sweep past an enemy flag and spot a whole bunch of people at once.
they are retarded snipers as a recon class is not a sniper but a spotter that plays the objective. I play the recon class but use it correctly not being a wookie and camping
i real life snipers are alot more productive and the most deadly weapon on thebattlefield all i do is snipe but i usuall rack up at least 20 kills but i move alot after every shot like a real sniper.. try capturing a base with a 12x scope tell me how it goes its not as easy without a 20 round mag... especially a bolt action which is all i use...

@Sixbak It depends, sometimes you will kill them with 1 shot to the torso but most of the time, you won't (Unless they are already damaged). It used to be one shot one kill for bolt action rifles (With Magnum Ammo) in non hardcore but they updated the game some time ago, they made the Damage lower for a lot of guns including the bolt action rifles & this was enough to get rid of the 1 shot kill with bolt action sniper rifles. Anyway, Hardcore is much better for sniping,1-shot-kill & no Kill Cam.

Snipers who aim for kills suck. Recons who aim to try and spot enemies to give constant information on the enemy locations whilest taking out key targets like Heavy MG's and Snipers, bombarding enemy groups with mortar strikes, and planting C4 can be a good addition for any team. Personally, if that wookie in the bush is shoving a ton of red triangles over enemy heads. I'm happy.

@jshine2live34 I don't even do that i actually help my team i set motion minds for my team and send in air sticks that benefit my team, it's not camping or sniping. the class is called recon which is what i do. i only kill when i have a good chance of doing so i send my team feedback of the field cause i can actually see the field and tell them whats going on and i spot people so my team knows where there at, recon isn't sniping or camping its recon. people are to caught up on mw2. idiots.

I assume that you might don't know that "camping" with a sniper rifle is actually called "sniping"... that being said, you can't expect a guy with a sniper rifle to run around the map like crazy like you do since he can shoot 1 round every like 2 seconds because of the bolt action... aaaaanyway I'll let you enjoy these ephemeral moments of joy and eventually take you out WITH A SNIPER RIFLE if I ever meet you in a game... When i snipe you can always see me moving with my squad to hit the objectives. If the objective is heavily or well defended then i snipe a couple of people maybe call in a mortar strike. If its not heavily defended then i switch out to my pistol and go Rambo on the mother fuckers. I do hate when people camp/snipe or when every fucking person is a sniper. I use the engineer more though just cause sometimes the only thing that can fix the problem is a rocket up the ass.

What I do on BFBC2, I snipe like a mother fucker. And then, if I see my team-mates cannot arm the bomb within 6-10 minutes, I do it in a matter of seconds and get the objective done. (I'm really good at arming the bombs in Rush). Oh and I don't snipe on BFBC2 to boost my K/D ratio; I do it because, IMO, its the most fun thing to do on BFBC2. In all honesty, K/D ratio doesn't mean shit.

Don't hate snipers because you don't have the rifle skill and patience to do it. Ill get more kills and contribute more to a team match with an m24 than you will with your "ump". It's pronounced U... M... P... by the way. Not hump.

I always go recon on BC but these guys REALLY are like a disease. They think they are god's gift with snipers, shooting everything that moves, not palying the game.
I admit, I am rather "good" with a sniper, but I dont sit there in the bushes for hours on end shooting, not only does it give away position, it gets boring. SO I get my pistol ready and an assault rifle and go to the battlefield. Not hard. Camping pricks. Another thing I hate: campers that sit in tanks through the entire game. >:|

I camp sometimes, I shoot people off some high place, but I also blow up their tanks, choppers etc. I spot enemies for team mates,.. and capture points on conquer game mode.. so don't you tell me that all the recons just shoot and camp without helping their team ;/

@TheEAIBProductions Snipers do help but when you have 25% of a team doing the job that really only one or two should be you have issues. (i have played this map against an entire team doing this) from their vantage point it is too easy for a team to take and hold all the objectives without entering the LOS of the snipers. Sniping has its uses but to JUST snipe actually hinders a team.

I can see why Sniping while playing conquest would make the sniping team lose but the Recon Class is very helpful in Rush because the can spot enemies coming to defuse the M-COM Station and they can stop them before they get there and they can defend the M-COM Station from far away attackers so ya... The Sniper is a very reliable Teammate.

i see where you're coming from and snipers annoy me too when they just sit in one spot the whole game, but when i play with a whole group of my friends we usually have 2-5 snipers who spot people, counter sniper their snipers, guard flags, and take care of tanks when the engineers are busy and we do very well with that game plan.

if you guys like sniping, go into rush and watch the mcom station and blow the head off of anybody who gets near it, or shoot helicopter pilots or something. That's what I do whenever I snipe, and it sometimes works very well.

I use all classes, i'm a brigadier general grade 3, and sometimes i just feel like sniping. Sniping can be very productive if you're good at it and know the spots. Last game, rush, laguna presa, defenders I got 6782 score just by staying far away and sniping everyone going to plant bombs. Our team eventually won on the last stand.

I snipe everyday, I am not bragging but I am lvl 27 and have unlocked everything but the MG3 on the Medic Class, which is indeed the last thing in the class till it gets maxed. My favorite Sniper rifle is non other than the newbie SV-98.....Not very many people use this because people believe that it sucks, you just need Magnum ammo and you get lots of head-shots. I use the sniper and try my best to plant the bomb in rush and i got like 24 kills in SQ DM yesterday. When i plant the bomb, i put C4 on it, and watch it from the bushes with my sniper. Whenever someone plants the bomb, i protect it by sniping whoever is there.

I like sniping and all, when its tactical and helping. Or when they actually get some balls and get behind enemy lines and do some damage, but when snipers sit and cower at the back whilst their team mates take the beating on the frontline it gets beyond annoying. Its a team game, so dont be a useless arse wanting a good kill to death ratio. No ones going to praise you for it anyway. You just look like a total nerd.

I understand your point. However I think there are too many bi-itches that hate being sniped so they act like snipers don't help the team when in fact they spot & kill. A good Sniper keeps moving and spots/kills as many enemies as possible. Good Snipers even move in and take over an area after helping decimate an enemy team in that area. Sniping is one of Bad Company 2's greatest features. It is the best game for sniping I have ever seen and is fun :D

Most of the time when I play recon, I use my M95, however, I don't have the patience to camp either so I spend most of my time taking flags and chucking motion sensors at enemy flags, and I also use the spotting scope so I can sweep past an enemy flag and spot a whole bunch of people at once.

i real life snipers are alot more productive and the most deadly weapon on thebattlefield all i do is snipe but i usuall rack up at least 20 kills but i move alot after every shot like a real sniper.. try capturing a base with a 12x scope tell me how it goes its not as easy without a 20 round mag... especially a bolt action which is all i use...
