For years when I listened to any song of Klymaxx's I thought I was listening to a voice of a male teenager. I'm so shock to find out that the voice is actually female. Oh my gosh! I thought that they formed this group with a Michael Jackson soundalike for a lead vocalist. How completely wrong I was!

So damn badass to see an all female back band actually playing instruments and awesome at it. This is what modern R&B needs more of. Everybody just wants to sing only. Singers come a dime a dozen. Probably the only famous all black female band to ever make popularly. No Beyonce's band doesn't count.
damn it seemed like it was just 10 minutes ago, but it's been 20 plus years ago that we were at our high school dance slow draggin to this cut. damn they just don't produce music like this anymore.great voices, passion, love, substance, creativity. todays music has none of that. there's a few good r&b artist today who r cool, but they just don't compare to the great groups of yesterday. people we're getting old.u might laugh, but it's true. those days flew bye. thats ok i still bump all this today.
high school days in the 80's.damn this song brings back so many memories from back then. slow draggin with your girl. someone please tell me why can't anyone today produce slow jams anymore?the r&b today is somewhat shitty.there's a few who are cool, but it's just not like the 70's-80's and early 90's artist. they don't even play slow jams at clubs anymore. i tell you ladies n gents we're very fortunate to be part of those great artist, people, clubs, and respect for human being, unlike today.
my sr. year in high school 1986 brookshire texas. man they would play all the great slow jams and hip-hop at our dances. it was all about chasing the girls n girls chasing the boys. we did'nt have any damn gangs and violence at our school. we were into sports, homework, dances, and video games. these kids now r feed this shitty ass music now and thinks it's the bomb. just sit down and listen to these groups and see do you hear negative garbage r gang related shit. hell no. thats y i love old schoo
my sr. year at royal high school in brookshire texas in 1986. man they use to play all the slow jams at our high school dances. this is when music was real and all you wanted to do was chase females and vice versa. we did'nt have any damn gangs and race fights in our school. it was sports, homework, dances, and respecting adults and authority. those times r over. we had the greatest era of music ever. i wish i could go back and do it all over again with the same friends, same clubs. classic
Makes ya feel kinda sappy and wistful even if you think you're tougher than nails--this is for the guys of course. I think of girlfriends from the past an wonder what if ... but then who doesn't? Great 80s flashback Oldies08070, thanks for hangin' it out there.
Makes ya feel kinda sappy and wistful even if ya think you're tough as nails--this would be for the guys of course. I think of girlfriends from the past, thanks for hangin' it out there Oldies08070.
hey you guys the Black gentleman that was in the video at 3:45 was the producer of this song. I saw it on VH1 when he said that because she sounded like Micheal was the reason he thought that this song blew up!!!!!!
One other thing is was not actually the lead singer. The lead girl quit the group just before this song.
This song was Billboard's third best-selling song of 1986. Incredible since it went to #5 on the pop charts. It stayed on the hot 100 29 weeks, back then a big deal.
a classic ol school joint; i was 7 when this was hot. i loved it then and still do to this day. the 80's had to be the best decade for music; the 70's is a very very close second
she sounds exactly like MJ... especially that little strained way she goes flat a little bit to stay in chest voice... even in the way she approaches notes... it's crazy that nobody else said that at the time!
gravyfunky I thought the same thing it was Diana Ross or Michael Jackson but mainly the two but klymaxx i never knew until some one told me I miss you (i miss you) I cant deny it I miss you its so easy to see
Who would have known ~ years after I sung this to you in a tribute ~ your precious Daddy ~ Scarborough Mayor ~ would be deceased ~ what a shame ~ poor Dennie !!!
I'm going to have this song played at my funeral. I'm not going to have it played so that people will think of me, but rather to describe to all of my friends and loved ones how much that they ment to me, and how much I'll miss them. This song is a perfect farwell song for funerals. I love how sweet and genuine the lyrics are. Sometimes there are no elaborate words to describe how much you miss someone living or dead. Sometimes all you can say is " I miss you".
I'm going to have this song played at my funeral. I'm not going to play it so people will think of me, but rather to express how much I'll miss the loved ones and friends that I'll be leaving behind. I would want people to know how much I'll miss them.
I'm going to have this song played at my funeral. I will not be playing so that people will think of me, but I will dedicate it to all the people I'll be leaving behind. I would want my loved ones and friends to know how I felt and feel about them, and this song expresses that perfectly.
The thing about old skool ballads is that the songs were heartfelt and about things we could all relate to. This song reflects emotions we've all experienced at one time or another (sadly). It's a very touching song who's theme will be everlasting.
